The fact that they are sticking with Ballard tells me they just don't care anymore. Ballard has done nothing in his time there to warrant another year. Everyone believed the hype, that he was some kind of savant, when he was brought in, and he has done zilch to earn any benefit of doubt.

For sure, Luck's sudden retirement hurt, but he has done nothing since except totally mismanage the franchise/draft/free agency. The fact that Irsay is willing to roll with no changes is exactly the same mistake Ballard made last year. Except for getting lucky on a few late round players, I can't think of anything he has done well.

@Certified Sunshine Pumper already mentioned that Irsay might be the overall issue. Meaning Irsay has the last say and might have overwritten Ballard's decisions. For what it's worth, I'm on the same script with this train of thought. Ballard has to go but I also think Irsay needs to hand over the keys to his daughters.

I was going to preface my comments that it felt like they were in the same place they were before he took over for his dad - just so much complacency.

Would not want to be Mark Andrews today.

Imagine you’re right. But it’ll pass in a couple of days and the narrative will return to the “Lamar can’t win the big one” stuff. I really hated for either Jackson to Allen to lose that game because they’re great players and great faces for their franchises and now Lamar‘s gonna have to listen to the same crap for another year. And if Allen can’t go on the road and win with a lesser team he’ll catch it, too. I’d take either of those guys in a New York freaking second.

I didn't see the play live but saw videos of it.

Oh, Andrews had a bad one. Had, I believe 2 drops. Had a fumble. It was definitely not his night.
