Anybody remember those allegations against Marsh?   My guess is if the university didn’t take them serious back then they are now.  They are getting to the bottom of that and being prepared because probably good we don’t play MSU this year or else something could leak the week before

I was thinking about this earlier and wondering if IU would start looking into this now. Can’t afford that kind of thing to hurt your program.

Yep. I was just thinking that any of our opponents would have reason to try and uncover and leak it.  What if the Thursday before OSU somebody leaked it to a reporter and there was something to it.  
 

Would throw the whole gameplan into chaos. 
 

It wouldn’t even need to be OSU doing it. Could be a team trying to manipulate the standings of the conference

Agreed.  I don't know what the rules are on betting but if it was me in the AD office, I would do a deep dive right away into Marsh's activity and make him get that app off his phone completely.  I watched a video on X last night with maybe Thamel (can't remember for sure who but think it was him) that said coaches from all conferences were reaching out to him to find out as much info as they could so they could relay all of this to their teams ASAP.  Said he wouldn't be surprised if all teams had team meetings leading with this information to scare all of the players into submission.  

So many implications for the the teams if kids get caught but life changing for someone like Sorsby who will lose 5m from this year and his projected NFL career is now in question.

The picture of the FanDuel app on Marsh's phone wasn't necessarily proof of anything, but I would be shocked if the above didn't happen as soon as that picture circulated. Cig and the IUAD are wayyyy too buttoned up to not nip that as soon as it popped up.

There is no good reason for athletes to gamble on sports, especially their own sport. Zero. I'd hope none of our players have any active accounts on those platforms. If they haven't already, every school better be looking into this stuff. Another blight on modern sports

I'm sure we do. And those that are active, especially any gambling on their own sport, are being incredibly dumb. Don't see why it's not against team rules during the season at the very least. It's their right to piss away money and risk their futures though.

Ghost Transfer rule would mean their coach would have to sit out what half the season?
 

Given their schedule is mostly a joke that might be worth it

All that I've seen says they didn't think the AD would allow the coach to sit for a transfer.  They have a very mid Tulsa transfer that would have to start until their QB2 comes back from his ACL injury which they are saying at best is in game 3 against Houston.  Reports say he just started throwing this week.
