Come on now, don't try and change the past. Dwight was an absolute monster in Orlando. SVG built a really solid team around him. Howard is still a good defensive center, and a good player when he's engaged.

Past Dwight was a hell of a player. What I am saying is that he didn't carry that team.

Still Steph, Westbrook and Paul... do you really want to downplay the amazingness that was LeBron?

Oh absolutely not, LeBron is my favorite player of all time. He was beyond sensational. Kyrie outplayed Steph all series long though. When the lights were brightest Kyrie was his best. I'm rolling with him over Steph any day of the week. Steph's gonna remember Kyrie's game winner for a long, long time.

So because of this series... Kyrie is better than Steph? The rest of Stephs career doesn't matter.

He isn't. Dude is still a horrendous defender. One series doesn't change that fact

His defense was defintely better in the finals. He still had his lapses, especially off the ball, but he showed he is capable.

Curry, Westbrook, and Paul I think are the clear top 3. After that Irving, Lillard, and Wall probably. Kyrie can score just as well as anyone. Just has to become a conistent defender and facilitator. Easier said then done, of course.

Steph has come up small in each of the past two finals. LeBron is judged solely on his finals performances, and all year long everyone was annointing Steph as the best in the NBA, so shouldn't he get the same treatment? This guy was the unanimous MVP and had a 3-1 lead in the NBA finals with two of the last three at home, and he blew it. Steph shrunk in the moment, Kyrie shined.

Steph's biggest problem in the Finals was getting turned too easily and not going into defenders for a foul. I would like to see the FTA in regular season vs. playoffs for Curry.

It looks like he shot 5.1 a game in the regular season and 4.6 in the playoffs. His shooting percentages were much worse in the playoffs though. 43.8% and 40.4 from 3 compared to 50.4% and 45.4% from 3 in the regular season.

Idiots judge LeBron solely off his finals performances.

Thanks for the info. You could just see it when he got a big switched on him. He didn't attack them and let himself be turned by Thompson or Love too easily. He could have shot about 3-4 FT/game.

Eh. Is what it is. Wouldn't shock me either way.

After the Tim Donaughy(sp?) thing, nothing would surprise me when it comes to sports anymore.

What's the general rule for things like that? It's probably 20% more than what's been exposed. That would be scary...

I'm not going full conspiracy theory here but it's not far from it. If GSW would have won in 5 the storylines would have been too messed up. If the GSW set a record for wins and then won the title there couldn't be debate for greatest team ever.

I still think in a straight up series that Cavs team is probably closer to the 4th best team in the NBA than the best...
