WayneFleekHoosier Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 @dpbrugler: #Indiana DT Darius Latham received a "go back to school" grade, but felt it was time, didn't want to risk injury.sad, Quote
djsalway Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 Sometimes school just isn't what these kids want to do. Sad because he probably won't get drafted high enough to make a roster. ccgeneral, ALASKA HOOSIER and HoosierAloha 3 Quote

ThompsonHoosier Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 Who knows maybe the coaching staff pushed him to enter the draft...especially after his off field incidents. Stuhoo 1 Quote
johnsoniu Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 Darius is the football version of goodTroy/bad Troy. Tremendous physical gifts; just replace the stupid turnovers and getting lost on D with stupid penalties and bad gap integrity. Hope he can hook on with a team with some veterans that can show him how to be a professional. Naturalhoosier, MartintheMopMan, HoosierAloha and 2 others 5 Quote
ccgeneral Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 NFL combine stats. Latham, who measured in at 6-foot-4, 311 pounds, recorded a 29-inch vertical and an 8-foot-4 broad jump. He clocked in at 5.32 seconds in the 40-yard dash, 7.76 seconds in the 3-cone drill and 4.63 seconds in the short shuttle. Indiana's Pro Day is on April 1. Quote
mhoban Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Can someone who participates in the combine and does not fair well be able to return to play college ball? Quote
Hovadipo Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Can someone who participates in the combine and does not fair well be able to return to play college ball? Once you declare, you can't go back. Wouldn't mind seeing them do what the NBA did...letting underclassmen go through the process and then giving them the opportunity to come back. Though I think it would be best in that case to expand the combine some so that currently fringe seniors aren't bumped out, I agree this plan makes much more sense in football's play-3 system than in basketballs play-1.
