Wow... Before this season he was hyped to have a big time season. NFL scouts said he had some Ben Roethlisberger in his game. Wonder what happened, he was supposed to be a great fit for Stoops' offense.

Given he's a junior, I'm guessing he is graduating early and will be able to play right away? If so, he could put up huge numbers in CKW's offense and is worth a look.

"Thank you to Coach Stoops, Coach Dawson, Mitch Barnhart, my teammates, the Big Blue Nation and the entire Kentucky Athletics Department for allowing me to achieve my lifelong dream. I will truly bleed blue till the day I die.”- Towles

I don't know if he would come play for the rival school...although you never know!

Plus Ricky Jones, Camion Patrick (best player on the team according to Wilson) and Mitchell Paige. This situation is quarterback heaven

AND let's not forget about Dominique Booth who red shirted this year because of an arm fracture. Plus also Leon Thornton and Nicholas Westbrook!

Is Thornton still a WR? He was moved to CB for the end of the season.

According to what I heard is that the move was only temporary because we needed help with all the injuries in the secondary (i.e. Andre Brown, Jameel Cook, Devonte Williams, Chase Dutra, etc.) I think Wilson mentioned he could go back to wide receiver after the season was over. But who knows, maybe he liked being on defense!

Right on. The move to D was out of necessity, but he did perform adequately, all things considered. Hale hasn't been mentioned here either. Fact is we have a TON of receiving talent, so it wouldn't surprise me if one or two of these guys flip to D. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if Hale got a look at QB if things don't shake out.

That said, if Towles wants to come compete for a job here, he can decontaminate himself and come on up

ALSO don't forget we are trying to flip top JUCO transfer Taj Williams from TCU. Might not need to now, but coming into the season we were in real good standing with Williams.

We're not going to get Taj. He's a mid year guy and we have only two mid year spots available. One goes to Jayme Thompson and the other, unless something major happens is going to Lagow.

I believe that IU is still recruiting Taj. It is highly unlikely that he would come in at the end of the spring semester, but obviously stranger things have happened. Never say never in recruiting.

He's a December grad. We won't have a spot for him if we get Lagow. The numbers don't work.

Yes, he's a Dec. grad, and we only have two Jan. spots. I believe there are ways to make that work if he wants to come in after the spring. Which is doubtful. Numbers can be worked out if both the staff and Taj want them to be. But it is more than likely that he will simply stick with TCU.
