Ultimately I wouldn't go through with the forfeit, as my contract wouldn't permit me to do such a thing. But I'd want the players to think I might right up until game day. Because if they're not going to give the proper effort on the floor, why should they get to play the game? Of course, the fan base -- beyond the hardcore fans who might understand the move -- would be disappointed, ticket sales would have to be refunded...it wouldn't be doable. But someone needs to do something to get through to these guys.
