Did really enjoy the read, although I would have enjoyed almost anything during lecture.

My thing is he's always talked a good game, that has never been an issue for him and this just strikes me more as him doing something he's good at.

 

This line struck me though

 

For the longest time, I thought becoming a great coach and building a winning team meant discovering my players’ and staffs’ strengths and then using them to offset their weaknesses.

 

 

It kind of does, at least in part.  That's one of his weaknesses though, and unfortunately for us the things he doesn't do well are a big part of being a coach.

 

I don't want this to come off as "bashing", but talk is cheap and he's talked for 7 years.  He hasn't really shown self-reflection and improving on the things he badly needs to improve upon.
