I think in order to get Kegler we either have to already have landed Davis or Mario knows or is confident we will. He has said a few times he doesn't want to play the 4(what we have done with Troy) and the only way that we can make that promise with any credibility is if we get Davis.

If I'm reading our chart right we could take 2 of those guards.

But unless one of those 2 is Alkins a graduate transfer might be better. We will have a young team. Plus only uses the scholarship for 1 year without creaning.

Need to land Kegler first is all I know. Hopefully he's checking out the boards for love Maryland and MSU aren't showing him any

Yep, I've seen interviews where he even classifies himself as a guard, and I know Maryland is selling him on being a 2/3. The problem is UMD has the bigs on their roster to assure him of being that.  We don't.

 

If we land him, it'll be because we will have landed Davis by then, or somehow convinced him he won't have to guard 4s or 5s in the B1G.

i saw this and don't know if we should be hoping for this carter kid to go to miss at or not. Does that help or hurt us with Kegler and Davis?

I have no idea on MSU's scholarship situation, but I doubt it would hurt. This kid seems to be more of a PG/SG so he wouldn't conflict with either Davis or Kegler's playing time.

 

I don't think it'd sway them too far one way or the other though, I mean Cujo is higher rated than this kid and already committed to us.

They're friends. Not like they are a package deal but id imagine it would help MSU
