Let's hope he can keep this production and consistency up even if Sexton returns. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners It's extremely difficult to get any detailed stats on the Peach Invitational games. What I've seen is pix of 2 separate scorecards. Sexton's name is on both cards but he's not credited with any points. No way to know if he's not in attendance or simply not playing. Quote

Durham with 12 pts. Again, Collin Sexton's stat line was -0- so have to assume he's not in attendance. No other stat details are available. I read where both games were on day 1 and Collin Sexton is expected to be in attendance on day 2 (today). He's resting up after playing in the FIBA 17u World Championships. USA brought home the Gold and Sexton was Tournament MVP! HoosierAloha and Class of '66 Old Fart 2 Quote

Scorecard for today's Southern Stampede win over Team United shows Durham with 15 pts. Sexton credited with 3 pts., but have no idea whatsoever how many minutes he got or how many shots he took. Lucky to get a screenshot of the scorecard. HoosierHoops1 1 Quote
HoosierHoops1 Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 I find it crazy in this day and age, the lack of real information that's readily available. Twitter and snapchat mindset is prob the culprit... HoosierAloha and ALASKA HOOSIER 2 Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 2017 IU commit Al Durham shooting the 3 Ball very well, getting to the lane & drawing fouls as usual here at #VO5SkillsAcademy @CoachArtis Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners Hoosier Roots, GloryDays and HoosierAloha 3 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 From the Victor Oladipo Skill's Academy. Don't panic over the team name - arbitrarily assigned. A very solid outing for Durham; excellent shooting %. HoosierAloha and IUsafety 2 Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 That's Myles Dread is going to Penn State. He had a nice game. DURHAM seemed to play well too. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners HoosierAloha 1 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted July 14, 2016 Posted July 14, 2016 Today's afternoon game. NOTE: Jordan Tucker playing on the No Class team had an absolutely dreadful game. HoosierAloha and WayneFleekHoosier 2 Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 Durhams shooting remains...not so good. I've been saying all along Tucker seems overrated to me. Idk. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Quote
bhaggard89 Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 1-9 from 3's isn't very encouraging. Room for improvement there. Based on his tapes though I'm thinking his bread and butter will be mid range and driving to the bucket. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Quote

Needs to play to his strengths until he can shoot it. Crean will force this. My concern is he is one dimensional until he can shoot it. A la Stan Robinson. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners Quote

Hopefully he will get in with the shot doc and get that all figured out. I'm wondering if his coach on this told him to keep shooting. WayneFleekHoosier 1 Quote

Bobman1 Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 I'm pretty optimistic on Al, because we offered him and accepted his commitment so early without seeing how the rest of the class would shake up, so the coaches must think they can really develop this kid and turn him into a good player. Class of '66 Old Fart Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 Thursday night game at Vic's Skills Academy. All the teams play 1 more game on Friday. Definitely one of Durham's better shooting games. HoosierHoops1 and HoosierAloha 2 Quote
HoosierTrav Posted July 15, 2016 Posted July 15, 2016 Yes. The shot doc sometimes fails, see Stan. This kids jumper, fundamentally, is nowhere near as bad as Stans. I have faith he will start to hit at a higher clip. GloryDays, HoosierAloha and ALASKA HOOSIER 3 Quote
Popular Post Walking Boot of Doom Posted July 15, 2016 Popular Post Posted July 15, 2016 The kid is clearly a scorer who just hasn't been told to stay inside the arc. Not worried about that once our staff gets a hold of him. The comparison to Stanford Robinson was made above in a negative light, but Stan looked extremely promising his freshman year. Between Sheehey telling him to shoot with his opposite hand and his character issues, I don't think we saw his potential. If Al plays with a similar style, bulldog who can get to the rim and finish through contact, I'm pretty excited to see him coupled with our shooters in 2017.
