I don't get this kids rating at all, Usually kids rated as low as he is are inconsistent and only take over a game most of the time. He seems to take over every single game we see posted.  Is his defense just horrid or something.

He's been inconsistent most of the time he's been committed to IU

Also AAU ball is where a lot of the rankings come from.

This. Sexton snatched his thunder. He shot too many 3s in AAU and wasn't hitting regularly.

Most of our recruits/targets had mediocre AAU seasons compared to how they are competing now.

This includes, Durham, Tucker, and Smith.

One thing I have noticed over the years of this rating convo is when a kid commits makes a difference. If he were uncommitted recruiting analysts would be watching him or others (not just IU kids) closer to see if they could get the scoop. A top kid, they will watch regardless. Or if a kid is blowing up they will as well. If you aren't doing anything crazy and are committed you are a dime a dozen they don't have to watch and typically don't unless you are playing a top ranked kid. Can't blame analysts for that.

Looking at those stats Al got to the free throw line a lot.Everything Ive seen with this kid points to an agressive guard.I like it.

That's not anecdotal; Al Durham always gets to the free throw line a lot.
