Nate Sudfeld, top 3 QB prospect?

Recommended Posts

He's got the size and arm strength, but I think that Nate is way too methodical to be anything close to a productive NFL QB however. Hopefully with a full senior season he can show some development, but he so far he's still been good for at least one complete bonehead pick a game.

I think he's a year behind a good qb in the NFL from being a productive NFL qb

Sudfeld has great intagibles. He is a smart kid, has tons of experience and is a great leader. He also has excellent size and will be playing behind a pretty good offensive line this year. I think he and the entire football program are looking at a breakout year.

I think last year really hurt him because the receivers weren't very good and we did play a few freshman. When you go from throwing to Cody Latimer, Kofi Hughes and Ted Bolser(Wynn was there as well) to having Wynn as your top WR and several freshman.. then it'll hurt. I think this year will be better. We'll have sophomores leading the way. We have Hawkins coming in (a Top 300 recruit coming out and went to UF then UAB). He adds to Booth, Harris and Cobbs. Friend and Fuchs as TE's. Passing game should be good again. Also we should be better if Nate goes down. Diamond improved each game last year and finished it off with the Purdue win.

It is hard to change a football program.  Wilson has slowly improved the recruiting classes and I like the general direction the program is heading.  I would have liked it to be a faster improvement, but I am in no way ready to go in a different direction.

I believe Wilson is the right person. I would like to see a better QB succession plan and improvement on defense, but I think we are getting there.

Replacing Coleman and getting a good receiver from UAB was a clutch move that will pay off this year.  We needed a running back and improved receivers and he got them.  Hopefully they will allow Sudfeld to have a big year.
