AZ Hoosier

Blackmon Jr returning to IU

He has plenty of athleticism. . He compares well to Gary Harris.

Lmao, no he doesn't. Harris was a stopper on defense before getting to MSU. JBJ is anything but that and never has been. And again, nope, he is nothing but an average athlete

I'm willing to bet his vertical is better than what many think and when he goes to the combine some day, his numbers will be surprising. But I agree in the fact that he's definitely not as explosive as a guy like Gary Harris. JBJ is one of those guys that is so smooth it makes it hard to see how athletic he really is.

HARRIS was really good his freshman year. He come back to school and improved his stock. I think they are very similar and Blackmon will prove my point next season. JBJ was streaky no doubt, but He has all the tools. However I don't even think he believes he's truly 6'4".

Give me a guy who wants to play d and is not athletic vs an athletic guy who does not. He may never be BT defensive player of the year but if he understands the need for D and commits to it he will be fine.

Just saying you need to focus on it is not enough yet but a good start

Harris improved his stock and completely disappeared on one of the worst teams in the NBA
