#IHSAA Boys/Girls State Tournament

Recommended Posts

Congrats to FW Luers last night.

They took it to Norwell the 2nd half of that game and never let them up.  Even with 25+ turnovers we still had a chance to send it to overtime.

1st Sectional loss for Norwell since 2010.  Bright side is we have 3 Freshman that have had plenty of experience this season and understands that Sectional is a win or go home situation.

Sorry but ......Class basketball is the worst. Used to love the one winner to dinner tournament. Class borders on participation trophy tournament status.

Really? From Milan? I want your autograph!

Side note.... My daughter and I drove to Jasper one Saturday morning back in 2004 and had a breakfast with Mr. Cyril Birge. He was one of the 2 referees in the ‘54 Championship game. His daughter fixed us a great breakfast and he showed us his lifetime of memorabilia. We took his picture and had it developed at Walmart. He rode with us. Of course we had to get some Hoosier DVD’s too. He signed the picture and DVD’s for us! We framed the picture and took it to Roselyn. She was happy to get and said she would put it on display. I don’t know if she did. She had mentioned people bring her stuff all the time.

Bottom line to this long winded post.....

THERE IS NOTHING LIKE HOOSIER HYSTERIA!! NOTHING!

(At least it used to be. Hopefully, it still is. I moved away in 1990)

Lay one on the Huskers tonight HOOSIERS!!

That's awesome- love it!  Both my grandparents (Campbell and Kohlmeier) are from Milan, and still have some family there. Bob Wichman from the team) is my uncle- lives in South Carolina now.  Bobby Plump handled my grandfather's affairs until his death- great great man!  When my grandfather passed away, we found the program from the '54 Championship game, and a ton of pictures of the procession headed to State.  I'm passionate about single-class basketball- glad to see others share my opinion!
