Maryland over Wisky

This could be a major thing for us. This virtually seals the Twerps into second place at the end of the regular season. If we win out and wind up tied with Michigan State for fourth, our split with Maryland (while Sparty went 0-2 against Md) would get us the double bye in the B1G Tournament.

 

We have to start getting there tonight at Evanston, though!

Not sure that it really matters where IU is seeded in the BTT.  IU has under performed in the BTT practically every year since the inception...don't really see us breaking that mold any time soon.

Taking a look at Wisconsin's schedule and didn't realize how easy a road they got so far.  This was their first really tough road game.  That team is really good don't get me wrong but man they didn't have to go anywhere tough on the road until last night.

Agreed, but to a point.  Losing also matters...so if we are a 4 or 5 seed and lose the first game out, that does not look good and IU probably/maybe slips a seed in the NCAA.

Yes, I agree with that as well. Hopefully we wouldn't lose as the 5 seed against the 12/13. Better chance we'd lose our first game as the 4 against, presumably, the 5.

Finishing 12-6 in B1G and losing the first tournament game wouldn't be any worse than finishing 11-7 and winning the first game against a lower opponent IMO. Then we'd still have the 4-5 matchup and tired legs if we did advance to the finals somehow.

Not sure if this is still accurate, but I would like this seed a lot. I think we would beat NW or PSU. MSU is definitely beatable, but as long as we have a decent showing there I think we would get a 7-9 seed in the March Madness

Yep we need Maryland to hold second, us to win out, and Wiscy to beat MSU. That would give us #4 :) If Purwho could lose @MSU @OSU and one more it would be icing on the cake as we'd be in Maryland's side of the bracket (assuming they're in second) instead of Wisconsin's.

.I'd like to see us get another shot at them.

I really don't understand how Kaminsky is able to pivot around guys for layups when he gets close to the basket. If someone would just collapse on his right side beside his defender, that wouldn't happen. Sure he'd still be able to take the jump hook, but he's not 100% doing that like he is with that little pivot/lay-in move.
