Jordan Fuchs to play?

I'm shocked no one is outraged at this proposition; good job, guys.

it shows how bad of shape we are in defensively. We are excited about a football player joining are team three-quarters through the season just at the outside chance he can help. Dont get upset I am mostly joking but not totally

I gotcha, coon. I'm not excited about it; it's just not a big deal either way you look at it. It's a no lose situation.

I am never upset with the opposing view; I can see how it might seem like that. I just wish the majority could enjoy this season more. It seems everyone wants to be 'right' about Crean. But it is simply pointless to segment the fan base because it isn't changing... And the opinion of all the critics isn't going to be validated if Crean were to be removed in a few years. The wishy washy stuff just amazes me.

I do believe he could help; it's just awfully late in the season. It's too bad he was injured.

At worst, it's 5 fouls and a strong body.

You can't sit out competitively for over a year and after a month play in the Big Ten...

From the (free) Peegs article:

Coming out of high school Fuchs reported 15 Division I offers for basketball. Near the end of his senior year NYCHoops.net ranked him as one of the top 10 players in New York, and Maurice Wingate from that site added these scouting notes at the time:

Rather than call Fuchs the garbage man, we'd rather refer to him as The Eraser; it's cooler. The senior small forward from Christ the King, who has a scholarship to play football at UConn, has always been the guy that cleans up the mess whether it's on defense or on offense. A banger in the paint, Fuchs has the thankless and selfless job of making his team and teammates look good. In addition to his tenaciousness at defending and rebounding, Fuchs has an under-appreciated mid-range game on offense.

The mid range game is something you dont see enough of today.

The only question I have is what was the nature of fuchs injury. I can't figure out if crean thought he was possibly good enough why not bring him on while he rehab to learn plays and just get to know the guys. Just another case of me not understanding what is going on lol. I hope there isnt something we dont know happening that is bad. Sorry I am paranoid anymore lol

I would see it your way if he was a complete scrub, but he was recruited by some great programs to play basketball so I think we are lucky to get him basically for nothing. There are no negatives to this deal, only positives.
