Jordan Fuchs to play?

I heard from another source that 6'-6", 230 lb TE Jordan Fuchs has been practicing with the team since Christmas.  Word is he traveled with the team to Maryland and could see playing time.  If this is true, it would be a further sign that Priller and April are never going to play. 

 

Fuchs had been rumored to go to UConn, I assume to play football, but others said he was going to Rutgers to play football and basketball. He received 15 D1 basketball offers according to his IU football bio.

 

I hope he is a pleasant surprise and can contribute the way Davis would have for the team. There sure won't be a scouting report on him.

Solid player in high school, seems to be an undersized 4 with his play. Not sure how much time he would actually see. Probably has a better lower body than Priller, but I still see Burton getting in before Fuchs. Burton knows the plays and has experience. I wouldn't get my hopes up.

I don't think he has traveled with the team before this game. The coaches must feel he is ready to play.  If he has practiced well, CTC could use him. I want to see him. Maybe he is a physical defender that will improve our interior defense. We won't know what he can add until he gets on the court.

I figured it out. It's all a recruiting pitch. Fuchs spent most of his high school career at Christ The King in NYC. The same high school as...........Rawle Alkins.

Got some nice touch on that 15' jumper. And obviously, being a football player, not afraid of some contact.

Not a huge stretch if you think about it. But at the same time, we could use a guy who isn't afraid to throw his body around down low.

Yep, as long as they are on football scholly, they are considered walk-ons for the basketball team.
