Our next three games:

OSU at IU

Penn State at IU

IU at Illinois  without Rayvonte Rice.

Would be a pretty nice win this Saturday; we will be favored to get to 4-1 in conference if we can upset the Buckeyes.

Possible but wins don't come very often in Champaign no mater what the squads look like.

Seems like the last time we won there it took some late game heroics from Eric Gordan.

Hope we break that cycle..

The next one is the one that matters most.  The team didn't show they wanted to compete @MSU, that has to change.  IF IU can beat OSU at home it would go a long way in showing that the MSU beating was just an inexperienced squad not showing up on the road in the B1G.  Need to work on consistency.

Yeah, I'd say watchin this year, and any other year for that matter, we have a better chance vs OSU at home then @ ILL.

I'll be pretty pissed if we lose to illinois without rice. We are pretty evenly matched when he plays but without him they are below average.

It was nice to see 2 teams COMPETE in this Minnesota/O$U contest.

So much energy, passion, hustle.

Dang it! Ticks me off.

We need to put our big boy pants on for Saturday.

I feel oddly confident about it for no good reason except its Assembly Hall

The O$U game is huge----you know I hate to generate controversy------but they are the UK of the Big Ten recruiting-wise in my book---I don't like Matta---I don't like their dirty/negative recruiting---I don't like all the football money they throw around---and I really want to see us win this game.

I hope Anthony Lee and all their bigs they have sitting on the bench that we recruited---- have to sit there and watch us roll them in The Hall.

That would be justice!

More then anything---I want to see our guys come out and play with---- fire---passion---heart---and hustle!

I want it to be our guys smacking the floor like MSU was the other night because we were embarrassed.

I hope our guys have something they want to show us fans---and bring the energy---beast mode---for a full 40 minutes!

Let me in that locker room Coach---I'll be glad to give the pregame speech!

That is all.

They didn't spank the wood as hard as they spanked us. Huh huh.

I said we'd be 2-2 after the first four. Got the first two right though I thought it would be close last night. I say we beat OSU easily then lose to PSU. Allanoy is almost a sure loss but didnt know Rice was out.

If we lose to Penn State at home two years in a row......

Break out the torches.

my Torch was neatly stowed away until about the time recruiting miss #20 this summer. My torch is burning brightly since the Halloween debacle.

I don't think Crean is a "bad" coach per se. He just hasn't had the type of success I feel IU deserves. We can do better. The only 2 reasons he's still employed; Cody Zeller and Vic Oladipo.

Although to Crean's credit, I fear he will go elsewhere and create a giant. Idk why. Just wish he could do it at IU.

Break out the torches.

If we lose to Penn State at home again this year----then as much as I like many of the things Crean has done and the values he has brought to the program---I will go find my torch and start getting it ready to burn because his time will be running out.  IU has got to bounce back-----or a bonfire is coming.

My optimism and the signs of progress I was seeing before the MSU game still tell me we can get it done.

Go Hoosiers!

I agree that he could do great things at another school. I think he'd be best suited at a school where he can constantly recruit from the rivals 80-150 range. He'd then be able to get kids to buy into his program, and he wouldn't have to worry about player turnover (which he's bad at managing). He's also really good at being the underdog and upsetting some great teams. (He's proven he's not a good coach when his team is being hunted).

My argument that I would make... I think that Zeller would have came to IU even if Crean wasn't the HC. And that any "good" coach would have had a number 1 ranking with him. So I don't know much credit I want to give Crean for "rebuilding" the program.
