Middle School Bob's Other Offer

Recommended Posts

Yuppers...Middle School Bob's other offer was from Incarnate Word.

Last night, Incarnate Word accomplished something that our squad will have a very difficult time achieving; a road win at Nebraska.

Next time we're melting down on this board, keep context, keep rooting for our Hoosiers, and let the chips fall where they may.

PS; y'all have got to see the link with highlights of the last ten seconds of the game. A practically impossible sequence for the extraordinary upset.

Holy smokes!!! That baseline jumper was garbage. He was fumbling the ball going up and I'm pretty sure he hoisted it with his guide hand. Chalk up another terrible loss for the B1G. But I'm not buying in to the idea that this means will finish near the top of the league. We, unfortunately, seem to play to the level of our competition which could mean that we'll win some big ones and lose some bad ones.

That's Nebraska's third loss to a below 50th ranked team this season. So much for Nebrasketball.

KenPom has them losing every single game in the Big Ten except us, Northwestern, and Rutgers. That's' kind of hurtful.

to us u mean?

do they have a list like that for us and if so do they only have us winning 1 or 2 games? If so they r terribly wrong I hope

The algorithms are interesting, because he predicts a 7-11 in the Big Ten for Nebraska as a whole but only has them winning the three games.

For us, predicted record is 8-10 but our individual losses are @Nebraska, both MSUs, both OSUs, @Illinois, @Purdue, @Wisco, and @Maryland.

Honestly, if KenPom was always right about these games, he'd be wrong. Nebraska would lose against NW if they'd lost their last 6 in a row. There is no way you have the motivation and strength to play at that point.

And, for every game you lose, you drop a little in likelihood to win any other game. The individual predictions aren't cumulative like that, they're if the game was played today.

This is where we are as a program now. Thanks Crean!

I know I'm the one who brought it up, but it's because of KP's strong bias for home teams. That's most of the reason they have a shot. If you look at our schedule for example you'd see we have a 42% chance to beat OSU at home, but only a 17% chance to beat them at OSU. So, it looks like you get a 25% bonus. That's consistently held with MSU (18% away, 44% home).

So, he'd have us as clear favorites in Assembly Hall. It shouldn't be a surprise, there's a constant narrative that we can beat any ranked opponent we face in the Hall right? We showed it last year. Home games are just different, and we currently don't have the good wins to show we can handle them on the road.

It's also still too early in the season for these to be super useful yet.

I'm confused...  So are you saying it's impossible to end a 6 game losing streak?

Or is it just impossible for Nebraska to end a 6 game losing streak?

More the latter. And, I do think it's different for college players v. NBA anyway. It's certainly not impossible to end the streak (even when it's 310 games long), but every game you lose it gets a little harder to win that next one. It's just human nature, you keep thinking that this is going to be just another loss and it's hard to pull it out. If you can convince yourself that this is your chance to finally snap it then you can play that much harder. It's a mental conditioning question.

Not everyone can be IU Football (we had a 6 game losing streak up to Purdue).

Love the fan support for Priller----noticeable raise in noise level when he enters the game or touches the ball!

MSB! :ninja:

lol, I have to wonder how responsible WE, BTBanners are for the legend of Tim Priller. I would not find it a stretch to see that BTB created the appeal of The Vanilla Prilla/MSB
