IU vs Louisville Post Game Thread

Recommended Posts

Like many others, my patience with Stan has reached its end and I feel about him just like I did Hollowell - GO, PLEASE GO AND QUICKLY.  I've read some of the rumors that maybe he could be gone at the end of the first semester due to grades and IF those rumors are correct then good riddance.  I'm old and I'm cranky but I've had enough of Stan Robinson.

I'm still holding out hope for Troy but it won't last many more games if he doesn't stop the selfish and wild plays that result in ridiculous turnovers.  If it doesn't stop then it's on CTC to stop it by moving him to the farthest end of the bench and only letting him get walk-on minutes.  I know we're already thin in the ranks but either Troy learns to play team basketball or he can follow Stan out the door.

Harrell makes me laugh.  He is so bad ass flexing on those gimme dunks & layups!  Future NBDL All-Star.

Absolutely!

He wont be getting that junk in the league. That jump shot hes been working on still looks pretty bad.

Seems a little thuggish to me.

Man I had such high hopes for Stan after last season. I could see him really growing into a great 4 year guy.
Now I see what appears to be no improvement from last year.
Smoking weed, fake id, more smoking weed, bad grades? Ugh.

Overall I thought it was a great performance.. Louisville did what they do best and wore us down at the end. Build on this.

I agree with you, but look at the mins of U.L players compared to our  players.  They played a lot more mins .  They should have been the team to wear down.  I believe they were in better condition.  Our defense is terrible, zones make blocking  out hard.  We better be able to score in the 90's in conference play to go to the dance..   Go I.U.

Couldn't agree more. I've said this before but I would rather lose with good kids than win with jerks. Especially selfish ones.

The head scratcher to me is ziesloft being pulled immediately after ripping a 3. He ended come right back bit I just don't get it sometimes

Crean's favorite time to sub.....After a made basket.

As bad as his in game coaching has been (it's been slightly better this year), the ironic thing is his downfall this season is pathetic recruiting and team building.

Generally thought to be his strength, but ultimately the blame for our troubles this season.

Yeah, we gotta 4 star. No answer to that besides OG. (In my eyes, another project big)

All of the teams problems on and off the court fall squarely on Crean. Unfortunately, his in game coaching won't get him many more passes like others before him. Winning at Indiana is a given and even he understands that. Just like Muschamp at FL. He was given 4 years not 7 to get it done and he didn't. Its next man up at FL, just like with Billy G at UK, Hoke at UM; and a good bet Crean at Indiana. Great coaches win NCAA championships with our 2012 team, and that was the year for Crean to prove he was an elite coach. Honestly, he's just not even final four close.

There's just too many factors that give us optimism. Same goes negatively, just like last year. Either we make the tournament or Creab is gone. Pretty sure that's the consensus.

you know the sad thing??? If we lost Crean, the thing I'd be most bummed about would be our chances of getting Rawle Alkins going kaput! Haha.

How sad is that?? The only reason I root to keep Crean is Rawle hahaha.

Subbing for the sake of subbing is a good way for a coach to make it look like he knows what he's doing.

Stan is a horrible basketball player. He is a good athlete, though.

Can't shoot and has lousy fundamentals, in trouble for both drugs and alcohol and now supposedly grades. Wow, this kid sure has all the bases covered.

Wow, kid plays like a lil' LeBron! I don't know what schools are recruiting him hard (probably all), but I always fear someone with his talent will be bought and paid for in some way by a neighbor to the south...

Saw Bozich posted an article today on WDRB about a potential 4 game series with UL... for those interested:

Stupid. Except if the goal is actually to break the attendance record there is no reason for these two teams to do anything other than a home-and-home.
