I'M TIRED OF IU SUCKING!!!!!

Recommended Posts

Careful now King----Don't bring the Bible into this!  No way we want to get the Man upstairs ticked at us---we have enough problems the way it is!

Last thing I want to see are plagues and locusts in The Hall---it was bad enough when the girder fell!

As an aside---I like that Crean is not afraid of expressing his faith---nothing wrong with that in my Book!

Is there a chapter on clapping?

They're actually all on clapping.

Except the one entitled "Questions to which the answer is 'Cody Zeller'" which features such entries to like "How do you field a successful team?" or "How do you develop a big?" or "What does it take to reach the Tourney?"

I'll play along-----I like the Chapters in Crean's Coaching Manual titled:

Chapter 1---How To Rebuild A Program and Clean Up The Mess Left By Former Coaches

Chapter 2---How To Be An Enthusiastic Ambassador For The Program

Chapter 3---How To Win Your School's First Outright Big Ten Title In Years

Chapter 4---How To Go To The Sweet 16 In The NCAA Tourney in 2 Of The Last 3 Years

Chapter 5---How To Consistently Get Your Team Ranked High Nationally In Nearly Every Offensive Category

Chapter 6---How To Be The Best 3 Point Shooting Team In The Big Ten Over The Last Three Years

Chapter 7---How To Consistently Make More Free Throws Than Your Opponents Attempt

Chapter 8---How To Consistently Beat Top 25 Teams At A Rate Matched Only By Kansas

Chapter 9---How To Consistently Pull In Top 20 Recruiting Classes and McDonald All-Americans

Chapter 10-- Forming  A Player Development Program Praised By The NBA

Chapter 11---Building Cook Hall And Displaying Our Tradition And Improving Players' Strength/Speed/Jumping/Skill

Chapter 12---How To Identify and Develop Diamonds In The Rough/The Oladipo Effect

Chapter 13---How To Get 3 NBA Lottery Picks In The Last 2 Years And Consistently Get Players To The Pros

Chapter 14---How To Consistently Get Your Players To Graduate On Time

Chapter 15---How To Raise Your Team's GPA and APR Averages To The Highest of NCAA Levels

Chapter 16---How To Remodel Assembly Hall To Make It More Modern And Even More Intimidating

Chapter 17---How To Try To Keep Your Team From Getting In Trouble By Making Them Live On Campus

Chapter 18---How To Get Your Team To Give Back By Visiting Children's Hospitals And Working Haunted Hall of Hoops

I could go on and on---the point being Crean may not be perfect and may not be a great Coach---but he's a good Coach who has done a lot of good things and given us some pretty good basketball teams 2 of the last 3 years.  It's not all been doom and gloom like some of you pretend by focusing only on the negative. We all agree last year was subpar---but if we turn it back around this year---in my and many other diehard Hoosier fans' opinions--- Crean has earned the right to stay. I have not written off this year yet and believe he deserves the chance to show us if he can deliver.  If he can---I will stay on the Crean train because we can and have done so much worse. If he can't deliver this year---then I am ready for change too.

I'm not patient enough to read all those chapters before posting but in large part I agree with your last paragraph! Lol
I think he's earned this year but he must produce.
I'm not a big fan of his coaching but I don't think he's done a lot of good things for the program.
When it all boils down you gotta win and I hope for his and the tasks sale they get it figured out.
I'll root for them one way or another but if they're losing I'll be doing a lot of b=+ching. Lol won't do any good but...

Maybe THAT'S the reason the beam fell...don't mess with the holy program! Hehe

Though, admittedly, 3, 4, 5, and 13 are all very short because they just say "Cody Zeller".

And 12 just says "Jeez, I hope this happens more than just that one time."

Doesn't there have to be more to those chapters you can't have one very short paragraph?

So Marlin left a full ride scholarship spot at D1 IPFW where he started as a freshman to transfer to IU for a walk-on spot because he wanted to be a Hoosier, right? Then he transferred to a D2 NAIA school on a partial scholarship at a school where education costs are right at 30,000 a year for playing time? Maybe he wanted to play for a team where they collectively played for the name on the front of the jersey instead of being worried about PT? I'm sure Marlin knew there would be more talented players in front of him at IU. IU used to be a place where playing for the name on the front and representing the state truimped all other motives. IMO, not the case with the current culture at IU.

I agree with you here hoosier. I thought it was odd myself when he transferred from here saying "it was for more playing time." Like u say, he knew when he transferred here that PT would more than likely be limited for him. The current culture had a lot to do with it, I'm sure

Hopefully, he's adding more to those chapters this year.

And writing a chapter called "Making the NCAA Tourney without Cody Zeller"

I am hoping so too---or else I will be glad to help him write a new chapter at the end of the season titled "Looking for a new coaching gig when you just aren't the right coach for the job"!
