Starting 5 after exhibition games?

Recommended Posts

I really like the idea of having Troy in the starting lineup just to give us more size and athleticism.  I know a lot of people talk about letting him earn his spot back and all of that, but I feel he's served his time, and he's put in the work, and he should start.  With a Frontcourt of Hanner and Troy, that should help on the boards and defensively.  I'm all for having shooters, but playing 4 guards at once is not typically the answer to beat the top teams.  I think bringing in a 6'8" Pogo stick like Troy and putting a battle tested Zeisloft on the bench makes us a better team.  Honestly, this team could be nice if everything works out.

Briante Weber at VCU gave me some confidence for troy and stan today. Weber was suspended for their exhibitions and season opener and he almost had a triple-double today. It is possible for Troy to start and make an impact. Remember, he has improved, we just haven't been able to see it yet.

I truly believe we will see a new and improved Troy. I know he smoked some doobs, but I believe all the reports of how hard he worked this off season. He dreams of the NBA and has that as a motivator. He knows what he needs to improve. He will be TW 2.0 this season. Pretty excited to see it, just hope it's team 1st, a la Oladipo.

Can't wait for Thursday. I think RoJo deserves to start, but it will depend if Crean wants to use NZ in the starting lineup as a steady rock to calm things down.

For me:

Yogi
Blackmon
RoJo
TWill
Hanner

NZ and Collin first off the bench. PRILLER first off if the crowd is dead.

I agree completely. Don't let the "above the influence" commercials fool you. Smoking a doob AND being a motivated person is an actual thing. I have no doubts Troy has been a gym rat over the summer and has really stepped his game up. He was doing damage in Canada.

I wasn't sure where else to put this but if Holt continues to play as well as he did last night I think you have to start him. With that being said, how about a starting lineup of
Yogi
JBJ
Troy
Holt
HMP
I know it's hard to not start Rojo bc he's been playing really well but this lineup would give us a ton more length and that would be huge especially come B1G play. Thoughts?
