JaybobHoosier Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Great game by the defense! Phenomenal game, couldn't be happier. Feel bad for Coleman because he's being handicapped by this offense and how it's utilized. Really disappointed with the offense. I just don't understand how we can be that bad. Just don't get it! 323SGrant 1 Quote
LIHoosier Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 If anyone wonders what it would be like if they played QB for IU, today's game would be the result. Quote

HoosierReb01 Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 All things considered, I do think that Diamont showed a bit of improvement today. Still a long, long way to go, but a little improvement is better than nothing. Napleshoosier and JaybobHoosier 2 Quote
bronkonagurski Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 It has been 4 weeks since Suds got hurt, including a bye week. And this is the best Wilson can come up with 4 weeks later? It feels like we are getting worse, not better. Diamont obviously is in over his head but I don't think this coaching staff has done him any favors either. Pathetic. PointBlank 1 Quote

323SGrant Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Why do I have the feeling that this may have been one of our last opportunities to beat PSU. NCAA, IIRC, has lifted sanctions and Franklin is recruiting well. Quote
JSHoosier Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Summary: Two teams were on the field, and one of them finished with more points than the other. WayneFleekHoosier 1 Quote

I think Wilson and company have failed miserably in regards to the offensive game plan. I understand the limited offense the first couple of games, but by this time, they should have come up with some better options. PSU just placed a huge X on Coleman and shut the offensive game down. I might have missed it, but how often have Roberts and Coleman been in the backfield together since Nate's injury. It might at least mix things up a little and not allow the opponent to just make Coleman a dead man walking. Two bad teams today (PSU does have a good defense), Hackenberg has not lived up to his hype. IU defense looked good, but I think PSU's inept offense had a lot to do with it. Hackenberg makes a lot of bad decisions. PSU is also one of the lower scoring teams in the nation. They are averaging 7 point less a game than they did last year. Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Umm... Is that what football looks like? Quote
TheWatShot Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 20 total points scored between IU and PSU today and 19 total points between Michigan and Northwestern. It really is amazing how bad the Big Ten has become in football outside of the top 3-4 teams. It's even more amazing that we continue to not make bowl games every year when like 60% of FBS teams can now go to one and we'd have the inside track with the minimum requirement because we're an automatic qualifier. But with a 13-32 record in the last four years, we've made so much progress and we're trending up, right? Quote

Seems like it is always one or other, not both. Quote

And for you younger listeners, this downhill slide began because Varsity Club members influenced former AD Clarence Doniger to can IUs winningest coach, Bill Mallory for not getting us to the Rose Bowl during the height of Big Ten football. The Peach, All-American, Liberty and others were not good enough for us. Now we link Student Football tickets with Basketball, just to sell student tickets! What B.S. The jerks who supported trashing our upper-half football program have been passing out the Jim Jones Kool-Aid with every coach since. Let's ditch coach style points and phony talk for a REAL blue-collar, lunchbox carrying, no bullsh!t coach. Why wave the Wilson flag any longer, when we all know it's like trying to make chicken soup from chicken ....! Quote

Yeah, I'm sure losing FIFTEEN STRAIGHT Big Ten games and refusing to fire George Belu had NOTHING to do with Mallory getting fired. I'm not sure why you keep pedaling this narrative. If he kept going to bowl games, he would not have gotten fired. Could they have given him more time to turn it around? Sure. But to act like they fired him straight off from the 6 bowl games in 8 years period is blatantly false. Maybe you used the Men In Black memory eraser for 1995 and 1996? Quote
CR3AMnCR1MS0N Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 Totally random, but if OSU decides to go with Barrett next year instead of Miller, does Miller go grad transfer route? If so, any thoughts on where he would end up? Quote
