Miller'sTheMan Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 I don't like how they do college game day inside the basketball stadiums. Not as good of an atmosphere as the football version where they are outside on the campus. Obviously the weather is a challenge for that though. Quote
Uwe Robb Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 aTm just lost to Vandy last night and have been sliding recently. Wouldn't worry about that game. Agree after looking it over I think we have a better chance of landing GD on 2/20 than 3/5. I think the only thing cooler than Gameday coming to Bloomington would be if Purdue went 0-4 between now and then. Probably wouldn't get Gameday at that point, but let's be honest.....we all love seeing Purdue lose. Quote
DChoosier Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 The natives are not happy in Westwood. Swept by USC in basketball. UCLA has 6 players that were in top 41 in US. 3/6 were rated higher than our top recruit ((Bryant) 4-6 in conference (9th place) His buyout is over 10mm. If they would have done better homework, they would have realized that his last 2 gaudy years at New Mexico weren't representative of his earlier career coaching results. Class of '66 Old Fart Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 http://www.courier-journal.com/story/sports/college/louisville/2016/02/05/sources-u-l-imposing-postseason-hoops-ban/79878760/ Sources: U of L imposing postseason hoops ban The University of Louisville plans to announce on Friday a self-imposed postseason ban on its men’s basketball team for the 2015-16 campaign, multiple sources told The Courier-Journal. The school informed the team’s players in a meeting early Friday afternoon, a source close to the program said, and will hold a press conference at 1:30 p.m. to announce the decision. (Watch the 1:30 p.m. press conference live here) The coaches told the players they only had nine games left, another source said, which is the remainder of the regular season. The decision comes as the NCAA continues to investigate a woman’s claims that she and other escorts were paid thousands of dollars and given game tickets in exchange for dancing for and having sex with U of L basketball players and recruits from 2010-14. It is a significant blow to coach Rick Pitino and his current team, which has an 18-4 record and is in second place in the competitive Atlantic Coast Conference. Louisville, ranked 19th in the latest AP poll, had high hopes for deep runs in the ACC and NCAA tournaments, and has a team built around two graduate transfers, Damion Lee and Trey Lewis, who came to U of L to play their final college season and pursue their first NCAA tournament bid. Who cares that his entire career is a whole lot of 'meh' with him being a complete jackwagon with a specific case at Iowa that everyone here should know about. Can't wait until he ends up at a mid-major, exceeds expectations and people talk about him like he is a great coach, even though he is nowhere close to being one Class of '66 Old Fart, Naturalhoosier and Walking Boot of Doom 3 Quote

Look at the teams he has coached, they have had plenty of talent. Kyle Anderson, Zach LaVine, Jordan Adams, Kevin Looney, Isaac Hamilton. And other guys, he just isn't that good of a coach Stuhoo, Class of '66 Old Fart and Walking Boot of Doom 3 Quote

On the other hand.....UNC will be in the tourney and probably a one or two seed which is beyond disgusting. Years of fake, not just easy, classes and NOTHING. Not to mention a few years ago when it came out that one of their star players had a slew of parking tickets and it turned out that he got them with 3 or 4 different cars!! They are the "golden child"..with Duke of the NCAA but their behavior is worse than UNLV under Tark. Ranger78, IUsafety and Stuhoo 3 Quote
Uspshoosier Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 It will be interesting to see who the last 2 teams in the tournament end up being this year. Those teams can thank smu and Louisville for their spot in the dance IUsafety 1 Quote
HoosierRob Posted February 5, 2016 Posted February 5, 2016 It is strange that nothing has come about unc. But Syracuse and Louisville have already been punished. Quote

Syracuse and Louisville were self imposed, eventually Syracuse did get punished but UofL and UNC haven't had any thing from the NCA yet or if ever. Quote

Alford has had AMAZING recruiting success which has translated to absolutely nothing. UCLA is in trouble. Quote

Walking Boot of Doom Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 Coincidentally, Wisconsin is on a 5 game win streak. @JonRothstein: Nigel Hayes' last five games for Wisconsin: 21.8 PPG, 5.0 RPG, shooting 45% from the field.
