The thing is -- he wanted to come to IU. His grandparents are/were IU season-ticket holders. But Crean creeped him out.

Bennett is Archie Miller to me, the only difference being one has a national title and the other an elite 8. After watching 4 years of IU not scoring Bennett doesn't seem much of an upgrade from that. Improvement over Archie? Likely, but how much?

So Bennet went First Round Exit (as a 1 seed in 2018), Winning NC in 2019, and First Round Exit as a 4 seed in 2021  

 

That is assuming nothing crazy happens in these last few seconds.

I wouldn't be mad with Bennett I just see his tenure ending the same way Crean's did. Inconsistent with a couple winning seasons sprinkled in there. Brutal offense. Just brutal.
