Iowa holy cow and what a good win for OSU.

Iowa is fun on offense. Less so, on defense. But a fun watch.  You all know how much I like Sandfort from last year.   OSU is a confusing team.  They’ve got great pieces. Their play has been wildly inconsistent.

LOL.

But anyway, let's talk about Fletcher Loyer.

Against non-P5 teams this season:  62% from the field, 69% from three

Against P5:  39% from the field, 36% from three.

That’s not terrible shooting against P5 teams unless you also weigh in that he’s a real defensive liability against those teams.

Lopes down 1 with 5 seconds inbounding under St Loo basket. Go for a lob on the inbound, intended target gets fouled. He misses front end of one and one but gets the rebound on a tip out and hits a turnaround J on the baseline with 0.3 left. Great game, 2 really solid mid majors

Crazy comeback here for Loyola.   Somehow they are up 1 with 21 sec.   11-0 run currently.  Oakland ball

And I will throw in my computer rankings, as I have done here the past few years.  Just to re-introduce, these are a 50-50 split of score-based and result-based ratings.  They tie pretty close to the old-version Sagarin ratings that combined predictive (score-based) and elo chess (result-based), which usually ended up being pretty close to tournament seedings.  Normally, the bubble for at-large teams is around 45-50 rank.  Rankings are through yesterday's games and records only include division 1 games.  Indiana comes in at #63 this week.

1   Auburn 11 - 1
2   Tennessee 11 - 0
3   Florida 12 - 0
4   Duke 10 - 2
5   Alabama 10 - 2
6   Oregon 11 - 1
7   Gonzaga 9 - 3
8   Mississippi St 11 - 1
9   Houston 8 - 3
10   Pittsburgh 10 - 2
11   Iowa St 10 - 1
12   Maryland 10 - 2
13   Kansas 9 - 2
14   Marquette 11 - 2
15   Kentucky 10 - 2
16   Utah St 10 - 1
17   Michigan St 10 - 2
18   Baylor 7 - 3
19   Illinois 8 - 3
20   UCLA 10 - 2
21   Texas A&M 10 - 2
22   Memphis 9 - 3
23   Georgia 11 - 1
24   Mississippi 11 - 1
25   St John's 10 - 2
