Memphis up 5 on Alabama at the half.

How many of you would bet on Memphis being ahead at the end of the game?  That is....how many of you think a team coached by Penny Hardaway can be ahead of a Nate Oats team after 40 minutes?

Arizona St holds on

Nembhard takes the inbounds pass, dribbles upcourt, stops at the 3-point line, steps just inside and takes a terrible shot.

Apparently, passing the ball never entered his mind. I hate those kinds of plays in the final seconds. Too easy to defend.

(BTW, Mason Miller -- Mike's son -- who chose Creighton over us, is redshirting this year).

Nembhard is a very talented freshman.  He won a game at the buzzer for them earlier in the year.   As he gets older I believe he will learn to make the right play in that situation.

What's strange is he finally is bringing in some talent there....with no change in results.

Yeah really thought Nebraska might be alright until they lost to someone terrible opening night (not looking it up, feeling lazy)

We’re due for a long Memphis drought here. They’re up 9 with 15:14 left. Alabama wins if it hits a near-average number of threes down the stretch.

Memphis has lost 4 in a row.  They desperately need this game and the Tennessee game this week.  I think they find a way to win one of them but it would have nothing to do with his coaching.  Lol

Off the top of my head, I think it was Western Illinois.  Could of beat Eastern Illinois, but believe it was one of the directionals.

So Duren goes in for a breakaway dunk, gets fouled and crumples to the floor. They're checking to see if it's a common or flagrant foul.

Meanwhile, we get one replay. One.

What is with ESPN? They'd usually show that a half-dozen times.
