Jeff Flabjohns Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Auburn in free-fall which is good. With Vandy likely losing at Mizzou, that’s five teams the last two nights who’ve beaten ranked foes at home to bolster their resumes. Need to hold serve in Assembly Hall rest of season. Beat Izzo!! Maybe when they went to coaches challenges they implemented this however first I’ve seen it used Quote
Jeff Flabjohns Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago It was a 50/50 call, I’m surprised the office called in to reverse the ref decision. I thought it was a goaltend on replay FortWayneHoosier 1 Quote
Demo Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Thoughts? Other than PU having no shot I agree with this. Would have had TTU in tier 3, maybe even the bottom of tier 2, before the Toppin injury. str8baller 1 Quote

I know the arc of champions has always been top 25 for offense and defense, but if you're looking only at defense, it really needs to be more like top 10-15. The lowest defensive ranking for a national champion was Baylor in 2021, coming in at #22. That was also during Covid, with a shortened season and weird environments, so a slight asterisk there. The worst defensive rating for a champion was Villanova in 2018, at 94.0, which ranked 11th that year. National champions usually have a defensive rating in the high 80's/low 90's, which usually ranks in the top 10-15 for that season. RaceToTheTop and str8baller 2 Quote
