FKfootball Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 Just a gut feeling. But I feel like this kid is going to find himself. Hes very confident. HoosierReb01, LazOffTheBench and The Ola Depot 3 Quote
bleedhoosier Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 I'm interested to see if the game slows down for him a bit after a shake down run last week. Hopefully his passes aren't all lagging behind like they were. HoosierReb01 1 Quote
FKfootball Posted October 23, 2014 Author Posted October 23, 2014 It was a timing thing. I think he throws well enough. Quote

BlueDevil Posted October 23, 2014 Posted October 23, 2014 I saw most of the game. I thought it was "a throwing thing". The little I got to see of the game I saw he had either a hard time gripping the ball or just wasn't very accurate but I do hope it was just nerves and he comes out firing Quote
bronkonagurski Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 Michigan State is a rough assignment for any QB, let alone a true frosh taking his first snaps ever. I mean I think he looked awful last weekend too but now he has a bye week and the we play Michigan which is a much more manageable challenge. Kind of hoping MSU just pounds the will to win out of them on Saturday. HoosierReb01 1 Quote
HoosierReb01 Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 I presume that with two weeks to prepare, he'll be a bit more ready. I also suspect that the staff will tailor the offense more too him. I fear we'll see a tough next 6 weeks, but last Saturday had to have been the worst. It can only go up from here. Quote
MartintheMopMan Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 I just hope he doesn't fumble. He was terrible at protecting the ball Quote

CampHoosier Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 At no point in the game did he look comfortable. I hope he finds a comfort level in the pocket, but man does he like to get out in a hurry barrettballer 1 Quote
FKfootball Posted October 24, 2014 Author Posted October 24, 2014 Actually, Hoke getting fired would just cause more turmoil and uncertainty. They may actually rally to win for him if they play MSU close or heaven forbid, beat them! Quote

WayneFleekHoosier Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 Side note - I talked to a team student manager today. He said Zander throws well in practice. He's bummed with season. Wishes Roberson was s around as do the players. Also expects decommit from Stevens. barrettballer 1 Quote

FKfootball Posted October 24, 2014 Author Posted October 24, 2014 A de-commitment from Stevens would be devastating to the team and to Wilson's future here. Not really. There are plenty of QBs out there. If a kid is too good for IU, let him go. We will survive. HoosierReb01 1 Quote
KingPG21 Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 Not really. There are plenty of QBs out there. If a kid is too good for IU, let him go. We will survive. Haven't we already seen the issue with not having enough good QBs? I think the point he is also making is a decommit from a solid prospect like Stevens would just be a bad sign of possible things to come if Wilson doesn't start producing results MartintheMopMan 1 Quote
Naturalhoosier Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 A Stephens decommit might not be the final blow for Wilson but I think it would be a hard tug on the proverbial noose. MartintheMopMan, LazOffTheBench and HoosierReb01 3 Quote
FKfootball Posted October 24, 2014 Author Posted October 24, 2014 The fact that kids are wavering is scary. It makes u wonder if Wilsons seat is hotter than we thought. Quote
