Since transferring over to Lima Senior to play for his father, who received the head coaching job this past spring, Simpson has been in a lot of the prep headlines in Ohio. The point guard, who ranks as the #7 prospect in the class of 2016, was a standout on the AAU circuit with the King James Shooting Stars, in particular coming up with big performances at the Spiece Run-N-Slam in Fort Wayne in May and the AAU Gold Super Showcase in Louisville in July.

 

“Iowa State, Ohio State, Michigan State, Butler, Indiana, Purdue and Xavier have all been to see me this fall,” said Simpson. “Xavier and Northwestern are the two high majors that have offered me so far.”

Good news is this isn't a kid that is the typical option D. He's one of the top PG's in the country and I would be extremely excited if we landed him.

IU will probably have a 5-6 man class in 2016. It makes sense to offer a bunch of kids. Xavier is another option if we don't land Bruce Brown, who I think CTC wants the most.

Can I get an amen to that?   It might be easier to post a list of who doesn't have an IU offer.  But on a truly serious note, could someone post a list of offers we have outstanding by position?  The names are just running together and I - because of my advanced years no doubt - have lost track of which recruits are in the mix for which position.  Thanks in advance.

I'm pretty high on this kid. I like his game and seems to be pretty high character which is important in a PG, imo.
