I love the last couple of lines of the article that talk about what other school would have over 17,000+ fans a game at the stadium for a team that only wins 6 games.  Indiana is the only school.  It's different here!

The writer nailed it. I've had so many surreal moments watching the Hoosiers play. I always get chills during the warm up video when they're playing "Where the Streets Have No Name", during the William Tell break, any time the crowd finishes the fight song, and when AH turns into a war zone in the last few minutes of a close game. I love that place.

I've only been to one game so far just because of money reasons but damn that place was rocking! The writer was correct I usually just listen to the games because I enjoy listening to don Fischer call em. This season is gonna be a good one I can feel it.

No, I couldn't resist bringing this article for those who have no idea what tradition and history really is hoping they (you) may get it. Maybe its easier to understand in print by a paid journalist rather than some shade tree one like me. Either way we both sound the same minus the check. Basketball IQ is Indiana basketball and those alumni and fans that support it. Its not arrogance like obviously you and others here believe. You're entitled to your opinion just like I am you just happen to be wrong. Embrace your culture young man; not knowing you other than an indiana fan.

Yet this is another point that seems to completely fly right on past you. Also, that has to be the most classic line ever, "we're both entitled to our opinion, you just happen to be wrong." So you come here to voice your opinion, then tell everyone else there's is wrong when it disagrees with you, you don't encourage debate by doing that, which is the point of this site.

My original post wasn't directed at you until you quoted me and you want to bring up ego? And you want to talk about cheap shots? Time to sack up Mr. Emotional; afterall we're talking about Indiana Basketball certainly not you. To answer your question that has so bothered you, yes Indiana's fan base is the smartest out there. Maybe alittle down south they may disagree; and like another poster has said, you may be better suited.
