BtownBanner6 Posted May 20, 2017 Posted May 20, 2017 Titles don't make players it is just a crappy talking point from LeBron haters. LeBron haters are about as good at debating as democrats. Fact is, LeBron is a better player than Jordan. Has nothing to do with titles or wins. LeBron can play any position and defend any position. In 8 years when he retires, he'll be 1st in scoring, Top 5 in steals, Top 5 in assists and first ever to score 40k, grab 11k rebounds and dish 10k assists. People just want to hate on him because people from a different generation always feel theirs is better. What he's been gifted with in terms of physical ability Jordan was gifted in mental ability. The physical ability is somewhat close but the mental game is not. mdn82 1 Quote

It really isn't close for people who have watched both. Lebron is the most talented player for sure. If he gave this effort he gives all of the time it wouldn't be close. Not sure about the generation or politics. Those are pretty idiotic statements. Those pretty well show and point the finger back at yourself that your arguments are weak. Like a Republican (which I am) there are others with a viewpoint. Doesn't mean their views hold less water than mine. Shocking I know. As for the 8 years, we will see. No way he is playing that long and if he does he will be a shell of himself. His age and mileage will catch up with him quickly. Always does.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app ThompsonHoosier 1 Quote
mdn82 Posted May 20, 2017 Posted May 20, 2017 Let the other guys fight over MVP. Lebron's chasing Jordan and titles are what can get him there. Yep and this is ultimately what's important. Not individual awards for most players.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Hoosierfan2017 1 Quote
Hoosierfan2017 Posted May 20, 2017 Posted May 20, 2017 I hope Kawhi can go tonight so it's actually a good game. I think the Spurs have a good chance at evening the series if he's anywhere close to healthy. mdn82 1 Quote

I think the Spurs have a good chance at evening the series if he's anywhere close to healthy. Yeah they had game 1 on the road until he went down. Which really has deflated that group! Love watching Kawhi play as well, just quite and professional. And btw, I HATE THE WARRIORS! I used to like golden state back in like '06-'08 when they upset Dallas as the 8 seed. But since this Curry lovefest began, I can't stand them. Used to be a draymond green fan as well but he's almost to that WAY too cocky point. Didn't think I'd ever say that about anyone. LIHoosier Posted May 20, 2017 Posted May 20, 2017 Thomas has been ruled out for the rest of the playoffs. Can Boston start off the next 2 games with 20 pts so it can be competitive? Class of '66 Old Fart and Hoosierfan2017 2 Quote

Draymond's dirty play adds to my hate too. It was looking like a potentially great series before Kawhi went down. Golden State had no answer for him on either end, and Pop is probably the greatest coach of all time. Now we have two uncompetitive conference finals. At least the Finals should be good. Quote

HoosierAloha Posted May 20, 2017 Posted May 20, 2017 A good reason they should go to a 16 team tourney without conferences. You should get competitive series that you don't have to hype. They should have canceled the playoffs and had a 9 series cage match between GSW and Cavs. On days they didn't play you could have a rotation of SAS/Rockets and maybe Atlanta vs Washington, maybe give bonuses for pushing and fighting in the Atl/Wash series? Hoosierfan2017 Posted May 22, 2017 Posted May 22, 2017 Welp. I'm the first to say something when he plays well, so I gotta say that LeBron was complete garbage tonight. He looked disinterested from the jump. Hopefully this gets their attention and they show up Tuesday night. KingPG21 1 Quote
HoosierAloha Posted May 22, 2017 Posted May 22, 2017 Finally a halfway competitive game. Amazing the Cavs lost after not missing a 3 in their first 100 attempts. I don't think the Cavs play well enough on defense but we'll see soon enough how the script was written. mdn82 1 Quote

The Cavs acted like Boston was going to roll over and die. It might be the best thing that could've happened imo. Everyone needs humbled from time to time. mdn82 1 Quote
