I can't stand LeBron but absolutely nothing about his game would be any different if he played in the "old" era. He would physically impose his will like he does now. To say it was more physical and today's players couldn't handle it is an absolute joke. The guys play according to the rules today just like the older guys would have. To think they couldn't handle more physicality is honestly rather shortsighted/dumb.

People choose to remember days of old as the greater years regardless of what you're talking about or what really happened. Case and point, people cry about super teams now but those were started when guys like Jordon, Magic, Bird, etc etc played. Michael Jordon coming out a few years ago and saying he would've never joined up with superstars to chase titles is pure stupidity. MJ already had a loaded team, Magic had a loaded team, and Bird had a loaded team. They were all already doing the same thing they claimed they would never do.

The super teams of yesteryear were built through the draft with a competent GM. Not a group of friends colluding together in Free Agency. Not one pick of the Bulls was a number 1 overall. The Celtics of the '60s was the first true super team. I have no doubts Lebron would have been a great player in the '90s. He would have taken different hits though. They get suspended for fouls that were just hard fouls. I don't think he would have cried about it, because that just was the way it was. I just have always preferred MJ due to 82 games plus the playoffs at both ends of the floor. That isn't downgrading him or saying he is bad. I just have never seen a player do what MJ was able to do athletically, physically, and mentally in between the lines.

Wasn't it LeBron crying last year about Green getting close to kicking him or something? Don't remember the exact play but remember him whining about it. What happened when players whined about it before? They showed their weakness and opened themselves up for more hits. LeBron flops when he's barely bumped and runs away anytime theirs confrontation. Those guys would have gone after LeBron. Yes, his body could have handled it but he would have ran from it mentally.

Draymond kicks dudes every game. He's gonna hurt someone eventually. If I was LeBron or any other superstar really I would sic my team's goon on him to send a message. LeBron can't retaliate or lose his cool because he'll get suspended. No one cares if guy #13 on the bench gets suspended. It's like when the Cavs sent Kendrick Perkins after a Celtics player a couple years ago after they separated Love's shoulder.

I agree draymond is too dirty but LeBron needs to stop whining. He gets almost every call.

I don't like the whining but until the NBA does something about it there's no reason to stop. If the refs were to stop rewarding players for doing it I think you'd see players stop whining as often.

I am sure Bird never whined. Or Magic. Or Jordan. NBA players don't like being roughed up.

Haha, maybe after they took a clothesline or being knocked down on a fast break. Did they whine that their owner wasn't spending enough money, with two other top players and plenty of role players? Did they whine every time someone got close to them? Watch a few games of Cleveland in the playoffs and then go back and watch some of the greats. It's not close. From what I remember, Jordan was the first that got the superstar treatment after years of getting beat up. LeBron walked into the league with everything on a silver platter. They wanted LeBron to succeed and treated it as such.

Bird really didn't. Magic didn't much. Jordan did at times. None of them were talking to refs at every stoppage. I don't blame the ones that do it. Like it was said above, until the NBA does something about it, it will not change. I can't blame the players for that.

Ditto with flopping. The NBE said it would super secret squirrel fine players for flopping but it hasn't stopped it.

If Boston gets the 1 and takes Fultz, wow.

If you're Boston and end up with the first pick do you keep it? They have their pg and could get their sf in Gordon Hayward. Bradley is solid but you could definitely upgrade the sg and c positions. Do you trade down for that overall no. 1 pick?
