Durant has done nothing but show his true colors since he left OKC. Spoiled, immature, and egotistical.

He always likes to talk about how the haters don't bother him, but then he goes and makes burner Twitter accounts to argue with 15 year old kids lol.

Melo to OKC for Kanter and Dougie McBuckets.

Does this make OKC better than they were when they had Durant? I know some people think Melo is washed but I think playing on a good team can rejuvenate him.

Also Sam Presti has been sensational this summer. Turned a handful of role players and a 2nd round pick into PG and Melo.

Terrible trade for NY. Having said that, I don't think this pushes OKC even close to GS. They have zero depth and I think Russ/Melo/PG personalities clash big time.

If Russ dominates the ball like last year it will definitely not work. PG is good off ball though.

Yeah they got a center who is just horrible defensively, Doug McDermott one of the most "meh" players in the league, and a second round pick....... I guess if you want to continue to bottom out and get high draft picks they're doing it. Though even with Melo they sucked

NBA action starting and I'll have another go at providing a daily recap of how our guys are doing if you all find it informative.  I don't want to unnecessarily clutter up the thread.

Bryant with 5 assists and 4 steals in 16 minutes?  That's fantastic.  Only took 2 shots, but produced.

Yogi is continuing with his excellent play.  All the Mavericks articles are about the heralded Dennis Smith Jr debut, but Yogi still walked out an outperformed the rookie.  It's funny, DSJ is being favored as the Rookie of the Year, before he's done a thing.  Yogi actually performed like a Rookie of the Year, but didn't get any attention.

Very strong performance for Eric Gordon and hopefully a sign for how his entire season will be.

Noah Vonleh suffered a shoulder injury on 9/23 and will miss start of regular season.   Injured during a scrimmage at the Blazers practice facility and likely sidelined through the opening two weeks of the regular season, but the injury likely won't require surgery.

Andrae Patterson named Cleveland Cavs Director of Basketball Administration.  Patterson played for IU from '94-'95 through the '97-'98 seasons averaging 11 pts. and 6 reb/game.  His most memorable game was an 85-69 drubbing of Duke in November 1996.

After scoring 17 points in the opening half, Patterson broke a 45-45 tie and put Indiana ahead for good with a three-pointer from the top of the key and then a steal and dunk with 12:22 left. That was all part of a stretch during which he scored 15 consecutive Hoosier points. He shot 10 for 13 from the field in the second half. "That was one of the best performances against a Duke team in the last decade," said Blue
Devils coach Mike Krzyzewski afterward. "We tried to defend him with big guys, with little guys, with two guys. Sometimes we had no guys, and that was about as effective as two guys."
