I was at the Pacers game tonight and that was the best game I have ever seen in person 

Incredible series of events to end that game plus the post game theatrics.

Its up there but I go a lot so besides tonight been at following games that were thrilling and this is in no particular order of best one:

1. Haliburton 4 pt play in regular season early this year

2. Nembhard long three for win vs. Knicks in playoffs last yr

3. Haliburton game winner vs. Bucks in OT last yr of game 3

4. Late winner vs. Suns middle of last year

5. Bogdanovic game w/ seven three's and 30 points to beat Lebron in playoffs

6. Thriller over Knicks in 2013 to advance to Eastern Conference Finals

7. NBA finals game 3 win vs. Lakers

8. First ever game I went to beat Bulls and Michael Jordon when Bulls went 72-10.

9. Tonight of course

 

There are probably a few others but those immediately come to mind including tonight. Another note is it amazing to me how Gainbridge Fieldhouse goes from a library and my least favorite place for a game atmosphere in regular season to as good an atmosphere as any big time vintage Assembly Hall atmosphere in playoffs.

Gainbridge is by no means unique in this regard in NBA, but atmospheres from regular season to playoffs go from about 2/10 to 10/10 in postseason. I would say NBA is league with biggest discrepancy from regular season to postseason with intensity both on the court and in the stands.

I was at the 94 playoff clincher vs Orlando. The previous best I saw was vs Boston in game 4 of the best of 5 series.where Chuck Person went crazy in the 4th to get the win.

So far he’s been the successor to Reggie.  From the clutch moments to annoying the opposition and not backing down… he’s been great.

Saw Reggie’s 8 points in the final seconds to down the Knicks in that historic playoff game. Have never before or after seen 1 player completely demoralize and silence an entire arena like that.
Reggie remains my favorite player of all time, partly for that sequence. 
 

I love Haliburton’s trajectory as a Pacer and all around elite player. He isn’t the pointedly taunting, disrespectful get under your skin player Regg was, but his level of class while playing elite clutch ball is special

That was excellent, thanks. Had never heard Jackson’s side of the Malice in the Palace or Reggie’s breakdown of it. Great interview/ talk all around. 
I was watching that game live at the time (on tv), couldn’t believe it. That team was so clearly locked in for the championship. They were truly stacked in the way Reggie described, such a shame that stupid fan threw that beer on Artest. Crazy to think that an entire championship year can be thrown away by one stupid fan’s conduct. Of course Artest shouldn’t have run up in the stands like that, and my stomach sank as I watched it happen, but the timing, place was a powder keg, Artest had just been separated, a brawl on the floor had just been avoided. Just nuts

The Netflix doc on the Malice was good too. Most involved were interviewed for it, including the involved fans. Reggie, Artest, and O'Neal were on it at least. I watched it happen live too (which was random, I didn't grow up in an NBA house but for some reason my dad and I had it on) but was pretty young and didn't completely understand how good that Pacers team was at the time. Over the years obviously I've learned what that all meant and then the documentary packaged all of that up into an hour or so.

Also, if you listen to the right episodes, Jackson tells some wild stories about those 2000s Pacers teams he was on. The Al Harrington episode specifically had some good stuff. The show is a gold mine for NBA stories from that time period.

That documentary was really good. Interesting at how for a number of years they couldn't even talk about what happened that night.

Wow. If you’re inclined toward the conspiratorial, a sequence of the Mavs gifting Doncic to the Lakers for 50 cents on the dollar followed by them then hitting the 50-1 shot for Cooper Flagg, is about as tidy a fix as is imaginable. I’m not, but, man, that is just so bad.
