Love the VO updates. A special athlete and a special person. When his playing days are over I pray we make an immediate spot for him on the bench as an assistant coach.  He has been and continues to be and will be in the future a great ambassador of IU Basketball!

I'm sure you already know, but I couldn't resist!

Magic beat the Pacers 114-94

Played 35 mins.

18 PTS  7-15

7 REB

7 AST

1 BLK

2 STL

0 TO

And this final paragraph from the AP game summary:

"Oladipo had 18 points and two steals, leaving him 16 points and three steals short of becoming the third NBA player since 1985-1986 to start his career with three straight seasons of 1,100 points, 110 steals and 70 3's."   With 7 games left, shouldn't be a problem.   When he was recruited it was like 'who is this guy' and now we know.

Victor had an ankle injury that he got against the Pacers, but we didn't know about it.  He played against the Bucks with it and it was iffy whether of not he would play tonight.  He did and played very well as the Magic beat the Grizzlies 119-107.

Victor played 38 mins.

22 PTS. 9-18

7 REBS.

2 AST.

1 BLK.

3 STL.

0 TO

It was our last game of the season to go to which is why I'm posting a little later.

No TOs. Great statline. Looks like he will have a long NBA career.

Vic is a warrior on the court.  Many thanks for the fine job you've done at keeping us updated on Vic's performance throughout the season.  You've earned a renewal of your 'reporting scholarship' for another year.  :-)

Since Victor is probably done for the season with only 3 games left, thought I'd go ahead and post these.  He's been improving every year.  These are the season totals.

Pretty impressive slashing his TO's the way he has plus reducing his PF's all the while basically getting the same number of rebounds and steals.  Show's how much smarter he's gotten with the NBA game.  He's going to have a very long and productive NBA career.

It'll be nice to see a Hoosier stick around for a while. We haven't had a whole lot of NBA success with EG fighting so many injuries.

Victor's exit interview.  Loved what he said at the end about Indiana.

Sounds like he's planning on taking a more dominant role in the locker room next season.  As compared to far too many NBA players, Vic is very articulate and clearly received a good education from the time he started elementary school.
