Victor Oladipo - Memphis Grizzlies

Recommended Posts

Well, this was a tough shooting night for Victor.  He's having a lot of trouble finishing at the rim and he's not getting foul calls.  He only got two free throws tonight and they were late.

15 PTS 6/18

5 REB

3 AST

2 STL

1 TO

Win over Philly.

Anybody hear how Vic's doing?

Update on Victor:

Oladipo wasn’t allowed to go to the team facility on Thursday or Friday and he did not attend Friday night’s game. Oladipo won’t travel with the Magic to his native Washington, D.C. on Saturday and there is no firm timetable on his return.

Several of the Magic’s players have visited with Oladipo to check up on him and make sure that his spirits remain strong.

``He said he has a headache on a thousand in his words, but he’s doing much better,’’ said reserve guard Shabazz Napier, who made five 3-pointers and scored 22 points on Wednesday after Oladipo went down and he will likely see his playing time rise with the usual starting shooting guard out. ``I texted him multiple times to see if he’s all right and see if he needs some company, but he’s doing much better. That’s good to hear.’’

I really don't think, although cleared to play, that he is fully recovered from the concussion.

I was disappointed in Vic's stat line, but I'm more concerned that his coach would want him playing when it's obvious his not healthy! Vic doesn't need pushed. His reputation of self-discipline and work ethic has got him where he is today. Take care of yourself, Vic.

Victor had a good first half, but the second half not so good.  In fact he didn't score at all.

Ended the game with 11PTS 4/11, 2/5 from 3, 1/2 FT

It's really Elf that isn't doing well.  Victor continues to play excellent defense just having trouble scoring consistently.  We are headed to the game soon.  Hope he turns it around today.

Just got home and Victor had a great game!

24 PtS. in 26 Mins.  5/15 FG, 13/15 F +14

4 REB

2 AST

He shut down both players that he guarded and got to the line more than he has all year.

One of his missed shots was a last second heave to end the half and another a slam that went in and out. So those two would have made his percentage look better.

They won 100-91 against the Knicks.
