IU Receives Vote for AP Top 25

Recommended Posts

For those who didn't see, IU got a vote to be ranked in the AP Top 25. I think if we can win our next two by a fair margin, which is very manageable, we could actually be ranked. Never would've thought I'd be saying this about IU football.

That's great for this program. I don't see us being ranked this year, but if their good play continues there is a possibly for next year. On the up and up!

According to IU's records, they were ranked #25 on 9/24/94 at Wisconsin. IU got walloped 62-13 then and in 3 days, the streak will hit 20 years.

Wisconsin waxes us every time we play them it seems. Like a special type of beat down.

Had we beaten BGSU, we would have to be ranked in the top 25. That hurts

Great to see we're on the cusp  though. Maybe a little extra motivation to take care of business these next couple weeks. I just really hope we come out this Saturday, in front of a packed house, and win. The program will never gain traction with the fan base until it wins consistently.

On October 6, 2001, Indiana went to Wisconsin and destroyed the Badgers 63-32.  Antwaan Randle El was so dominant that most every report called Wisconsin's stadium Camp Randle El for the rest of the year.

It was sweet.

Wish I could remember watching him better in college. I only sort of remember watching him here, but remember all of his pro career.

We beat them back to back years. I was at the home game in 2002 for a big come from behind victory over the top 25 Badgers. We rushed the field afterwards. One guy ended up getting clothes lined by the police when he made an attempt to take down the goal post. Great times.

I think if we win the next three games, which should be doable; we will be ranked before the Michigan St. game. It would be a great atmosphere for a big homecoming game! but we shouldn't get ahead of ourselves, let's take it one game at a time and see how this team responds after a big win.

I was fortunate to see his last game at IU against Kentucky. It was randle el bobble head day and the game was a reschedule from 9/11 weekend. Awesome tribute video after!

"It says a lot about where this program is headed,'' Hamdan

said. "I know this is a step in the right direction and if we can

keep building on it through the season we might be able to look

back and say this was the turning point.''

Little did he know that it was about to get so so much worse
