my family used to laugh at knight all the time also my favorite was his sweatshirt riding up mid gut in his later years that was always funny for some reason. The big difference is social media u say something and your bound to offend at least one person just the way it is

Yeah I laughed at that too.Another one from the same time frame was when he would be gnawing on the antacids and he would have a white circle rimming his mouth.Man that dude was wound  up tight. Looked like a rabid dog sometimes.

Dalton 26- saw your post about me joking about Knight hitting a cow----while I certainly crossed the line (but not the center line like Knight! ) it was meant in good fun and not to personally degrade Knight or ridicule his coaching as he was Coach when I was at IU and I would have walked through a wall for the guy! He is one of the greatest coaches of all time! The point I made in my post was to the posters who can't cut Crean any slack or give him any credit---and they are using personal attacks to degrade him as a person and a coach. Knight actually had a great sense of humor. For example, he told us students that he threw the chair across the floor in the Purdue game because there was a little old lady across the floor who did not have a seat! LOL!

 

Point is that a lot of us are not being too sensitive--we are just sick of the total negativity and constant venom spewed by some posters about Coach Crean.  You hate Crean--we get it!  Now move on and add something substantive or informative for discussion!

Or go somewhere else if you just want to whine, moan, and bash,bash, bash!

You love Crean no matter what. We get it. You guys should do the same or you can go elsewhere and pretend everything is ok and whine/moan. See everything you said can be said about you guys too.

Dalton26---- Believe me--Crean has a lot to prove to us objective posters this year too!

 

Neither side of the debate should paint with too broad of a brush!

 

I came to this site because there were more fair-minded and reasonable posters here---let's keep it that way!

 

We will have to just agree to disagree on some things!

 

But--surely our love for IU can unite us and lead to good discussions instead of the hate-filled blah-blah-blah!

one thing the negatives here always get wrong is that the "sunshine pumpers" think that everything is ok. We're pumping sunshine because it's been pretty dark this past year. We're just optimistic and supportive instead of negative and critical.

I get that but it goes both ways. I've been accused of always talking bad about Crean and you'd have to go back a good way to find the last bad thing I've said about his coaching. Personally I've never said a bad thing about him as a person either but if you're "negative" you seemed to get lumped in there too.
