Well they can save money by cutting him. Though if they don't have a plan in place for a replacement, I'd be opposed. I know it has been thrown out there, but it might be in their best interest to draft a corner, keep Toler then next offseason move on from his contract

Ah, I guess I'm uneducated on his contract.  I know he's a streaky corner; when he's on he's very good.  And he's not bad enough for me to dislike.

 

But holy crap Landry and Richardson were bad.  See ya chumps.

If the Colts use their first pick on anything but a lineman (offense or defense), I'll officially be off the Grigson bandwagon. I'm sick and tired of watching Luck get knocked down 20 times every game while the defense gets pushed around.

So happy to see Landry gone. Stampede Blue was hilarious, the whole thread is green with recs, I imagine that's what it will look like when Trent is released. I fully expect either a lineman or an ILB with our first rounder.

As a SF fan I'd hate to lose Gore.  He has been a staple in the backfield for what feels like a decade.  I'd love for him to retire a Niner but Pro sports isn't set up like that anymore.  His shelf life is near its expiration however.

They probably want to make sure they don't have to pay him before they cut him (he/the NFLPA could file a grievance). Also, he's the only "healthy" (lol he's overweight tho) RB we have on contract, so they might want to have a replacement first.
