(2016) SG Rawle Alkins to Arizona

Recommended Posts

Ain't no way Troy Williams, with college degree in hand, is coming back next year as a grad student.

Therefore, we currently have one open spot if everyone else stays.

Were you the one who argued the same for Yogi last year (degree in hand and not coming back).

Certainly different guys but I just don't think a degree matters much to guys who have pro ball aspirations. A degree is important but I would think they value that as an asset for later

Probably. If I keep saying it I'm bound to be right! lol

I see no way we get Rawle, but here's the IU part of a write-up Borzello did on ESPN. He has Zona/St. John's as the co-leaders at the moment.

"If it seems like schools have come and gone at the top of Alkins’ recruitment, that would be correct. But one school that has seemingly remained in the mix is the Hoosiers. They’ve long been on his list, and Tom Crean watched him as recently as December. Indiana is likely playing catch-up at this point, though, especially since the Hoosiers went out and picked up a commitment from Long Island native Devonte Green earlier this month. Green is the third backcourt commitment for Indiana in 2016, joining Curtis Jones and Grant Gelon. James Blackmon and Robert Johnson are already on the roster, as well. Assistant coach Chuck Martin has been involved with Alkins for a while, though, and Alkins mentioned Indiana as one of the possible schools he's looking at for an official visit."

If we were going to try and sign somebody else I think it would be Alkins for me.  With Yogi leaving and JBJ an unknown commodity, I would want a talent like him in our backcourt.
