Will this have any affect on the B1G/ACC challenge?

I haven't heard that it will. ACC challenge is in December. This will be closer to the beginning of the season.

IU/Xavier might spark something....

we already play Butler in the Crossroads thing...

Georgetown isn't a bad draw, nor is Marquette....

the rest have the feel of kissing your sister...

I think Villanova would be a good game too. I read that these games are supposed to be on-campus. Most of the Holy Ballers play their home games in NBA arenas save for a game or two against the likes of Inland Maritime College.

This is better than most of our preseason games. I'm all for it!

Well, maybe not DePaul.

In our current state, we need a better preseason to transition into the B1G. It can only help the progression of our you players. If we don't make it in the B1G we don't make the tourney, given our preseason schedule.

I'm all for this. So what we play some less than stellar big east comp. it is way better than playing the preseason schedule we have been playing which is a joke. Even if you consider these schools mid majors, that is better than what we play. Don't forget that we lost to butler and Norte dame the last two years.

This is a good thing because it forces us to increase strength of schedule.

ashmgee nailed it. If we can substitute a less than stellar Big East team in for Northwest Texas State Institute of Art and Mechanics Weslyan, then do it. Now

Don't be upset it's happening now w/ less quality teams. Realize the potential for opening the seasons with a little hype added to the schedule, it should strengthen the look of the Big Ten, and every once in awhile IU will play a game on the east coast which will be VERY easy for easy coast recruits to attend.

Win win. Goodbye mid valley state technical institute of higher learning, hello Big East

Maybe this has been covered, but does this mean the ACC/B1G Challenge will come to an end??
