Hurryin Hoosiers will be back and that's a positive!

With all the fallout from this past season people are ready to jump a ship that isn't sinking! The team we will have in 14-15 will be able to run and gun with the addition of JBJ, Hotzel, and Johnson. Think about it... If HMP makes the jump next year (which I think he will) the zone will no longer be a problem. Yogi,Stan, and Troy will have shooters around them that will open up the middle and leave the drive and kick, or pick and roll open for the taking!! Deven Davis reminds me of A.J. Moye and could be the intangible next year. This all plays in to CTC'S  offensive philosophy! Hanner must step up with his ball handling and if he can develop a 10 footer face up? Look out! I look for the leadership of Yogi and maturity of Stan and Troy to make a three guard line up work with either HMP or Deven. JBJ and Johnson will make I.U. formidable in the back court with Yogi running things. Overall, I see this team doing what Crean likes to do if they play smart and limit turnovers. If Crean spends his summer watching and correcting his mistakes in game, we could be the dark horse in the Big Ten next year!! That being said... I can't wait to hear a few replies to what I believe. GO I.U.!!!

Having shooters will help (Hoetzel=Hartman), but with what we currently know I just don't see the huge leap people are expecting.  It's like people expect Stan and Troy to make Vic frosh-junior leaps and that's not realistic, do they remember what Vic looked like as a sophomore?

What's the excuse for being bad against a zone last year when we had Hulls, Watford, Vic and Zeller?

If if's and but's were candy and nuts we'd all have a Merry Christmas.  Point being, I can't look at next year and say IF Devin steps up, IF Hanner steps up.  God forbid, but what IF Yogi regresses?  Not saying it'll happen nor do I even remotely think it'll happen, but IF...

I'll just wait until the fall and see how the guy's gel and progress before I make any personal predictions on the team.

Zeller was never aggressive... Hanner is! he just needs to polish his game and play like Marco Kilingsworth... anybody remember him? that's what we lack!

It is nice to read a positive once again. I hope you are correct Mr. Hat.

I just feel like the negativity is gone now... JW wasn't feeling I.U. and Austin found a greener pasture for his skill set.

I dig the If If's, However I think after last season Cook hall will be used constantly to rid us of the bad taste of no post tournament... I just feel like Yogi will be the motivation after this seasons let down. We are now a Tiger in the corner with something to prove and we have the pieces to make that happen Big man inside be damned!!!

I'll leave it with this... CTC, as self involved as he is, knows the time is now. I think he has the ability to use what he has to his benefit and will adjust next year. He seems to read too much into these forums and has grown a chip on his shoulder "i.e." he wont read our tweets, Bad move on his part... don't tweet what could alienate his fan base, because you have been called out. Use this time to reflect and look for advice from those that have been there and overcome adversity! I personally don't think looking to your brother and laws for basketball advice from football coaches will help us out. Watch film, take notes, and EVOLVE! That will make you a coach that the #HOOSIERNATION can get behind!! I love that you brought us back with players nobody wanted (Sampson called Hulls an NAIA player at best. Get shit right so we can be proud to where that INDIANA uniform again!!

Hanner is aggressive? I'm sorry, but I don't see much of anything aggressive about his game. I hope he makes the leap as well, but he has a long ways to go. Not expecting much from him offensively next year, I just want him to figure out how to be better at positioning on defense and rebounding.

Yeah, I wouldn't say Hanner is aggressive.  He's not that good either, especially on defense which is odd since that's what he was supposed to bring in the first place.

Actually, he said Hulls would make a good NAIA player.  Still a dumb thing for him to say though.

He has shown to be very aggressive on D and got at the basket when the opportunity presented itself  (Ohio State for instance) IMO he will surprise us all next year! He knows the middle is on him now, and I don't think he will waste that opportunity. He needs an outside big (if Tommy can find one) to work on his game with him.

Mistated...my bad. Sampson did say he would make a good NAIA player... Doesn't really take away from my point though.
