I've been looking around some for European players available. I found this kid named Ivan Renko Jr. He's a 7'2" center who will be eligible next fall. I say get him!

I've heard great things about him!  Now hearing OSU and MSU involved...

I get your point and agree but I'm happy we didn't get Hammons after watching that lazy dude play at Purdue. Lot of talent but dude has 0 motivation.

I would take Hammons in a heartbeat. You can't teach his size, footwork and hands. You might have to be creative to keep him motivated but this wouldn't be unchartered waters for this staff.

The only reason Jurkin is at IU still is because he was the first member of the "movement" to commit, and after securing commitments from the other guys of that class, CTC didn't want to remove the poor guy's scholarship and leave him out in the cold just because he committed soon.

What about the other poor guys like David Williams? Being recruited over is a part of the business just like running players off. We have seen this example done several times in six years yet In most cases we don't upgrade. If you have a total non contributor other than APR you're not left with many choices other than graduating him early.

I wasn't only talking about Jurkin. I am just not sure why TC woud'nt play Hanner more over the last 2 years. Its like we have always heard, you can't teach size. I think that kid has a ton of potential, but can't seem to stay on the court more than a couple minutes a game. I just think that if ya have bigs, ya gotta let em play. A good example is the kid from Wisconson who's name escapes me rt. now Kaminsky, I think. He had like 23 pts and 11 rebounds after only averaging 4 pts a game last year. Wisconson is another team that gets these big kids, and lets em play. I don't know, I don't follow Wiskys recruiting classes, but those kids can't be top 100 players when they get em. I really hated to lose Fisher, because I really thought we were onto something with him. Did he leave, because of not enough PT? I know that they said that he was homesick, but that was the official word from the school.

Hanner hasn't played more because he doesn't fully grasp what he's supposed to do on the court, and he's even worse on the defensive end.  Which is odd because that's what he was supposed to bring in the first place.  He's better, but he's still got a long ways to go before I'd trust him for more than a few minutes at a time.

I personally am glad to have Peter on this team. If he wants to be at IU why not have a scholar like him that seems to be a great guy and team member on the team. Not everyone is going to play. We aren't exactly short on schollies at this moment.
