Haha truth, thank you for the correction. When he decommited from us I thought it was set in stone that he'd be a Wildcat. Thanks!

Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
The whole point is that there is turbulence now, Sweet Sixteen followed by missing the NIT, but we will steady out. This is all part of the process. I'd love to hear people talk about the bright points of the future instead of constantly harping on the negatives of a down year. This same thing happens next year, then I'd agree that there is reason for concern. But at least we didn't go to the NIT and lose in the first round with one of the greatest recruiting classes of all time.
People are saying in this thread these losses are no big deal. I am saying that to conclude that they are not big deals suggests we do not need veteran leadership. We had two guys leave last year and potentially two more now. All of these guys would be upperclassmen next year. All season we heard that we should not expect freshman and sophomores to do much. It seems that when guys could be upperclassmen they are recruited over and leave. So once again we are looking at one leader, yogi, and a bunch of freshman and sophomores.

THANK YOU. I agree completely that people need to be positive about the future rather than continuing to talk about how bad this past season was. We get it, we sucked. Sure, right now this week is going to be awful, but look at the talent coming in next year, combined with Yogi, Troy, Stan, and the others.

AE got his degree already right? Seems I read that he had. Going to a place where he might get significant pt would seem to be a good choice if he wants to get more minutes.  He was a great "cheerleader" for IU because he wanted his friends to play there with him.  Wish accomplished. Thanks AE, best of luck wherever you go and whatever you do.

where is he transferring to?

He'll go through a process. I know it was mentioned earlier, but look for Indiana State or Butler. He is a born and raised "Hoosier" (meaning the state of Indiana :) ). His brother plays for ISU.

Obviously people can take the "if he doesn't want to be here" approach, but this bodes very poorly on the program, and poorly on Crean. Remy and Mo, Fischer now Etherington, what does this say to stability, to development of a team, about the program itself? I don't find it at all as an opportunity for IU basketball to be this late to the table for recruiting those that are remaining of the 2014 class. I hope there are no more to come!

Not good folks, not good at all!

The issue I have is not that these guys are leaving it's what about prospective recruits looking at schools and they see IU with a possible 6 transfers in 2 years. That's a red flag to me if I'm looking at IU. Sure these aren't huge losses but ol bigger picture it can affect the program.

Anyone else wondering who will step up next year now that Yogi is going to be the only one left from the Vic/Zeller/Watford era? I don't know how much losing AE hurts. Makes my stomach churn to think of what else may come during this off season! Always have to take the bad with the good though. I am no bandwagoner!

Mo left for Grad School not because he didn't want to be apart of the program anymore

Bottom line, this offseason we just have to hope for the best but prepare for the worst. If the worst is losing Hollowell and AE, the sky is far from falling. If we get Lee and Cunningham, we get both experience and a solid recruit.

Mo said he left because he didn't feel like there was a place for him. He felt that it wasn't right that other players jumped over him while he was injured. He left to find a place where he could get the playing time he felt he deserved.
