5th Year Transfers

Recommended Posts

Bad news: His family is in Iowa and he wants to be close to them.

Good news: His family is in the Quad Cities...looked it up; 135 miles from Bloomington!!

Try 335 miles.

SIAP on Lee but here is him on philly radio today.

Lee is from the DMV, Columbia MD, which KJ has connections throughout.

I'll see what else I can gather once he is able to hear from coaches, certainly in my neck of the woods.

He'll be better than only relying on Hanner next year. We can't be picky at this point.

Well, I mean on the positive side for us, we can offer him a starting gig here, unless Noah shocks everyone and decides to come back. I know a lot of people are down on the year we just completed (I am), but we have a good amount of returning talent. He would be our number 1 post player. And we aren't horribly far away from his family. Iowa State is the team that scares me the most out of the teams that have interest that were listed

Is also add to look at the schools interested. They wouldn't be calling if he wasn't decent.

He looks like he would be a serviceable big man at the very least that can defend his position, and can stretch the floor a bit.

Felt like looking at Tarik Black as a reference point for something comparable to Lee. Lee's usage is considerably higher than Black's was at Memphis, though some of this certainly has to do with the programs they played at. Black is obviously a much bigger body than Lee, 260 as opposed to 205, but Lee has more of a perimeter game, this isn't say a ton. It is worth noting that Lee has always been a better rebounder than Black, per minutes each year and in pure numbers.

Resident DocLibby doing some recruiting for us with Anthony Lee. Sent him a tweet saying yogi and company want him at IU.

He does seem like a great fit for our offense. I think it is a great consolation prize if/when Vonleh bolts. Most encouraging BIG candidate yet. The Detroit boy Maten looks like a legit long term prospect too, but we need more immediate help.
