I really don't think it'd be a big deal to have a special uniform every now and then. The kids like it.

Agreed. No need for completely new uniforms, but an alternate would be cool. Like the all crimson jersey that got released last year that was crimson with crimson numbering and lettering. I didn't think that was bad at all.

I'd be all for a crimson-on-crimson jersey if they kept the pattern the same. I really can't stand these jerseys that basically look like sleeveless t-shirts with v-necks.

We would have to go to Nike for that one. Our design would be pretty cool too. Most of them are designs about the history of the respective program. The banners would make for an interesting jersey design.

I like the concept of those unis, but I think it's poorly executed.  They just end up looking like giant sweat marks.

My girlfriend who's never watched a game of basketball in her whole life until recently saw those and asked why there were huge sweat stains on the backs of the jerseys....meaning that's all you see from a distance, no one can actually see the Nittany Lion head unless you're right on top of the player.

Disgusting.. Keep the jerseys the same. It's about the team on the front, not the name on the back. Plain, simple, tradition.

Getting new uniforms would be a recruiting asset, but just because we got new uniforms doesn't mean we have to get rid of the old? Could we not wear both from game to game?

I think we should occasionally change them for some games like some teams last year but not what your about to see bad. This is what we almost wore last year….

Does anyone have any actual evidence that recruits don't like our uniforms and would like us to at least have an alternate? Anyone?

 

Why don't we just get rid of the candy stripes to? Maybe we can put names on the back of these uniforms? Oh, and we could retire numbers?

 

Mike Davis would laugh because new uniforms and all the other things were stuff that he wanted. Then, he never did get that It's Indiana.

I've come up with a few different designs myself. This is how it would look if we updated those tired old uniforms and looked like all the other guys (some with names, of course!):

I don't think anyone's saying that. The players today get excited over these new or crazy uniforms Nike and Adidas come out with, so I don't think it would be a big deal to have an alternate for special games.

If Indiana can do anything to add some excitement with recruits, might as well do it.

For the record, everyone:

 

This entire post was sarcasm. I purposely tried to make some of the ugliest uniforms I could (within reason), with the exception of the very bottom which I thought turned out okay.

 

I would personally never like to see IU change their uniforms. I want it to be 2055 and look exactly the same. It's what makes us, well...us.

 

I hope we never change our uni's but I personally really liked the ones you made, all except the last 1 or 2.
