JSHoosier Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Wait, did Booth say he was bringing 5 other good recruits with him? He said about 5, and that some of them were committed to other schools so he wouldn't name names. Quote
JSHoosier Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 I'm in a wait and see mode with this. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app As am I, I just was passing along what he said when asked if he'd talk to other recruits. Quote
Hoosierfan2223 Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Hmmm.... any guesses as to who they would be? Quote
JSHoosier Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Hmmm.... any guesses as to who they would be? Pure guess on my part, but maybe McNeil since Strong left. LockdownD, ccgeneral and HoosierReb01 3 Quote
ccgeneral Posted January 8, 2014 Author Posted January 8, 2014 I don't know if this has any effect on Sam Boyd, but he and Tommy Mister look pretty good for us right now to. Quote
LockdownD Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 When he said he was talking to other recruits to come with him, McNeil was the first name that popped into my mind. HoosierReb01 1 Quote
Hurryin' Hoosiers Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 McNeil is the obvious one. IU is still going after Demarquis Gates, who is committed to Ole Miss. Not sure if Booth has any connections with him though, so that may be wishful thinking. It's not a given that all of them are committed elsewhere or that we're only talking about 4 stars. It will be interesting to see how things shake out...that's for sure. Back to back good classes can only mean good things. ccgeneral and LockdownD 2 Quote
Hoosierfan2223 Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Overall, huge get for IU. Booth said he is bringing others with him which is great, and we get a great player to fill in for Latimer Quote

JSHoosier Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 He should've been asked if he knew any good defensive coordinators. We could use one. upperarlington, Stuhoo and MemphisHoosier 3 Quote

Hoosierfan2223 Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 So who's the favorite for the other receiver spot? I think we all know Booth will be starting on one side, but who on the other? The candidates I know of are Ricky Jones, Nick Stoner, Coray Keel, and Kevin Davis. Though i'm sure I am likely missing some Quote

Shane Wynn is still here too. I don't know where they're at on the depth chart but Cornett/Miller are both listed as 6-3 and about 200 pounds. Quote
Hoosierfan2223 Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Interesting just saw the video of his recruitment, and he said he had "high key" recruits coming with him. I thought that was interesting. Obviously like you guys said my first guess was McNiel, but he said had about 5, so it will be interesting to see who it is Quote

Both have decent size and Young can flat out fly. Roundtree is back as well and can play out wide or in the slot. Cornett saw some action and will be in the mix, Jones and Davis are more slot guys. Wouldn't be surprised to see some 4 receiver sets with the depth we have in the slot. Quote

Of course if we get Sam Boyd, he may start as well. Which would mean 2 freshmen receivers starting Quote
Dalton26 Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 According to jones twitter he's still on crutches from a surgery so I want to see how he's doing once spring ball starts. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Quote
