For the love of all that's sacred in the world of beer, don't try Hop-A-Peel from Atwater. I went into beer store a little tipsy and bought a 6.  This tastes like someone stored raw fish in it.  Not even high enough alcohol to justify the taste (7.5%).  It's going to be a gin evening from here.....

Is anyone else allergic to gin?  I took a shot (massive shot) on a booze cruise when I ran into an old IU alum on the boat while completed wasted.  It ended horribly wrong.  I chugged it another time thinking it was water.  That ended even worse.  I then tried it completely sober and still couldn't keep it down.

That sucks! Bourbon is my go-to spirit, with gin a close 2nd.

If you haven't tried Not Your Father's Root Beer, give it a try. You must like root beer and not expect it to have a real beer taste though. Craft root beer at 6%, I believe.

I finally found some and its pretty good. I feel dumb because I searched throughout the beer store and I asked someone if they carried it and he walked me over to the display right at the entrance. It doesn't even taste like there's alcohol in it.

Oh, there isn't any alcohol in it. Go ahead and chug a 6 pack.

Was at Buffalo Wild Wings on Thursday and found a beer that I had to taste because of the name lol, Urban Chestnut Snicklefritz! Very light/summer beer, but couldn't get the best feel for it because I didn't have a water and was drinking a Schlafly Pale Ale.

I've had their Castaway IPA, but none of their others.  The Castaway is a nice brew- tropical and hoppy at the same time.

Haven't had that one, I've only tried those two I said and haven't seen any others on the shelf here in St. Louis.

Big fan of Kona Brewing Co. Really like their Longboard and Golden Wave. Highly recommend them! Anyone else try them?

I was just there this past weekend.  I had their Blonde Ale, very nice, and their seasonal IPA, great.  I believe they only bottle 6 beers...  Longboard, Big Wave, Fire Rock, Wailua Wheat, Pipeline Porter, and Castaway IPA.  If you're ever on Oahu I would recommend their restaurant in Hawaii Kai.  Good food, good environment, great beer, and great view (especially at sunset).

I looked up their site and found where I can find their beers in St. Louis. Found a grocery store that carries a variety :)
