Not feeling great about any of these in-state guys at this point. It seems like there just isn't much love from the 2017 class for whatever reason. Have a feeling IU could miss out on all of them. I guess we'll see how things shake out.

Meyer has definitely taken the field in the Wilkes sweepstakes.  I have no inside info but I do like IU's position with Wilkes.  We need another burger boy!

In the article on Indy star about Wilkes it mentioned he was still going to schedule some for Xavier and Uconn. So unless we get him to go early won't be the last. He's close enough we can get him down for another unofficial though. 

Same article mentioned Scruggs might still be using an official on us btw

An article on another site said he has an in-home scheduled with Xavier for September 12.  I'm sure they'll try to get him to commit to an official visit, but hopefully he's just giving them lip service out of consideration for Scruggs.  

Xavier may get Scruggs, but there's no way in hell they come into Indiana and steal 2 top 40 guys away from us.  And honestly the only reason Scruggs hasn't committed to Xavier yet is probably because we don't have the playing time to offer him that they do.

Wilkes is not giving Xavier lip service. I'm not saying Xavier leads, but they certainly are in this. I think Scruggs may help to some degree- like a bonus-ish type deal- but Wilkes is making an independent decision. That's been the word since the get go

I think they do. Sumner will leave after this year and they can sell that. Bluiett is also done after this year, from what I hear so there is time on the wing. I think he plays over a soph Goodin.

Just reread what you posted.  That leaves the door wide open to what he might do.  I guess when you've been a solid program for awhile and you are selling plenty of playing time you get recruits interested.  What happens when several recruits at the same position commit though?

They've landed a few SG/SF recruits already.  If Wilkes and another SG/SF commit I'm guessing their earlier commits my decommit and look elsewhere.
