I can envision Penn State and Northwestern playing multiple overtimes.

For that to happen it would've had to been a game right before  before iU plays!

Anyone that knows this program, knows the most likely scenario this week.

- We beat NW or PSU and look good doing so.

- There will be excitement that follows the next 24 hours about the possibility of beating Purdue and making the NCAA Tournament.

- We proceed to lose to Purdue (and it probably won't be close).

Us 40+ year olds expect a stupid last second shot by PSU or NW to beat us, when we should've beat them easily!  This tournament hates us...or we hate this tournament!  Haven't figure it out in the last 28 or so years!

From ius perspective they want Maryland to destroy Oregon by as much as they can so Marylands NET gets to 135.   That would make IUs win at Maryland a  Q2 win which would look better then a Q3 win

Is 10 points enough?  Probably not...  We just need to take care of 2 games and get in!

Just winning probably moves them up closer. Maryland is around 150 and Oregon is 102 so they won a neutral court game against a team around 50 spots better than them so they will take a jump.   For sure IU still needs to win games

That is my point.  They play tonight.  The survivor would not have the legs for our game.

I was saying iU would need to be the 9pm game and the 7pm game would go to overtime or more.  We don't play tonight.

Some of us understand that playing games two nights in a row...and especially overtime games...wear teams down.

Your point seems to be that you don't think that IU being a higher seed can beat either of those teams.  And in making that point, it seems you think we don't know IU's schedule.

We all know that IU plays the winner of tonight's game tomorrow night.   No need to pretend otherwise.

We disagree, strongly, whether IU can beat...say Northwestern.

Martinelli is gonna kick our a$$ again.  Lol.  Won’t that be the cherry on top of a crappy season.

Losing streak against them has to end sometime right?   Why not tomorrow for a cheap Q2 neutral court win against a non tourney team.   At least it’s not a home game against them since IU has lost 4 straight at home to them

Nah…Well, he might but we can cover every one else. Hell, let him go off and score 30 and just keep everyone else in check. Unless we hit another 8 min scoring drought they can’t score with us and their defense is terrible.

Yeah they lost that game because they let West score 16 and cairvino score 9.  Let’s be honest I can find an argument to include them in the tourney with numbers and metrics and SOS against other bubble teams however if you can’t beat Northwestern at least once in 2 tries with neither a true road game then they don’t need to be moving on

Hopefully we take advantage of them playing on back to back nights..........

They have two freshmen starting and playing back to backs, Page is a terrible matchup for us and is still out, and PSU made Martinelli work hard tonight (and boy does he ever work hard).

More importantly, the IU team leaders have cited the prior NW game as the one single game they wish they could do over.

Well here’s their chance; for all of those reasons I like our chances tomorrow quite a bit.
